I have the same thing happening to me. I hate the pop up ads they have going on right now. I will clear my files, cookies and everything else i can clear, and log in to WI and will have like 20 warnings before I even look at anything. I am almost afraid to come in here. And the new ad thing is even worse.

Thumbs up Re: Dangerous Site Warning at WI

I'm still having problems, even after running spyware scan many times, and running full virus scan. It has to be related to the popup ads that so many are complaining about. When they are present, I keep getting the dangerous site warning from my virus software. I'm not accusing WI of anything, but this is the only site that I'm having the problem on.

I have also cleared cookies, temp files, and history numerous times.

Thank you for suggesting the Blue Color option. I didn't know about that before. That should be a great help. Rep for you.

it's their google ads. my work often blocks them due to "malicious content" and/or "spyware". most are fine but a few are bad. not sure if justin can control what ads come in or not. ask him, he'd know.

Thank you for posting pic, now maybe instead of closing threads that are trying to let everyone know something is going on, WI will try to explain to us concerned, yet loyal members what to do.

I feel that those of us that have ant-spy and Norton etc... should be okay. I'm just concerend for those who don't have protection and was hoping maybe Justin or a Mod could start a thread advising us what best to do. I understand that WI itself most likely isn't the problem.

i know this might sound funny but if one of the mods cant help and scans and updates dont work either, maybe try calling the "geek squad" (u know-the Best Buy geeks) or someone along those lines. lol-try not to laugh. a friend of mine used them before and they were able to explain why she was getting strange warning pop-ups like that. granted-she doesnt use WI, but still they helped explain and fix the problem. keep us updated and good luck!

I haven't had any problems. I don't even get pop-ups. The ads on the side I never respond to because you never know who is lurking behind them. All of my anti-virus and spyware downloads are free - spybot and AVG free.

i had a terrible time getting the pages to load on wi when i signed on tonight. its not doing it now but it was terrible before. i couldnt do anything..................................... i heard one theory that sounded good. that its not really wi thats infected, its all the stuff in our siggys and stuff that come from utube and such....................... i know occassionally wi does this and then it goes away so maybe its jsut an internet thing right now. idk. it sure is alarming though. and thats the point isnt it................................ to scare us. they get their kicks that way

Well, I posted the pic to see if it was the same thing everyone else was getting, and you can see it doesn't say the stuff is coming from webkinzinsider. I agree with the other posters that it is the ads. I set my viewing as blue colors (bottom left of the screen, usually says Webkinz Insider Default) and all of the ads go away. Unfortunately, so do all of the cool siggies.
