Default Answered: Copyrights question

So I have 2 songs that I love from webkinz that were as pet of the month, I wanna run and Hug a Pug, got them because I had those pets as pet of the month, my question is if I can make these songs' repeating sentences ringtones for my mobile phone?
Not sharing them or anything, just use them on my phone

The short answer is that you can play your ringtones without worrying about a copyright violation.

But your question is a good one, HelyM. Here's the long answer:

The Copyright Act gives copyright owners six exclusive rights. One of them is the right to public performance of a work. Last October, a federal district court held that playing ringtone in public is not a public performance and the court gave a couple of very good reasons based on the language of the Copyright Act. The case is In re Application of Cellco Partnership (SDNY 2009). ASCAP was trying to get Verizon to pay fees when customers downloaded ringtones from copyrighted songs. It was an easy win for Verizon.

More information than you wanted. But there you go!

I believe as long as you are not selling anything that is fine. I use Just Dance by Lady Gaga and that is fine, but I would ask your parents/look it up.
