Default Answered: Computer problem??? need help ASAP!!

I have a problem... when I try to copy a COLORED image, it copies fine, but when I paste it in paint.net, it's all shades of black and white.
For example, here's a Mystical panda smiley I made...
Click the image to open in full size. (*please do not take w/o permission*)
And my signature picture...
Click the image to open in full size.

I want to recolor the heart in my signature picture to match the purple color in the mystical panda (my avatar), but when I try to copy part of the image, by copy or cut+paste into another picture, it turns out gray, black or white... have a look at this example *NO RECOLORING DONE*
Click the image to open in full size.
Click the image to open in full size.

I don't know how the paint things managed to stay colored, but I tested, and NO it did not change a thing.

I'd just like to know if anyone may know what this is. Thank you in advance!

No idea why your screencapture is showing up BW but this might help:

Try Using SAVE IMAGE instead of COPY or Screencapture.

Right click on the image, select SAVE IMAGE AS and the save it in your PICTURES file.

Load your graphic software (Paint) and then choose OPEN FILE and open the image - now it won't be reversed.

The one on the left (untitled) was done with CUT and PASTE
The one on the right (Panda) was done with SAVE AS

Click the image to open in full size.

you may have to "redraw" the image in paint and drop the color into each section- not sure how your program is set up but this has worked for me with other graphics/pictures- it takes a bit of time to get it but be patient hope this helps
