Default Answered: Can't see words after update

I am sorry to be a downer, but for my 2nd post, I need some help and advice. Since the website update, I have not been able to see any words on the login page, adoption page or the Webkinz information book. There are only X's in place of the words. I am baffled by this problem, and I am wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them, and maybe how it can be fixed. I do have current versions of my web browsers and Adobe Flash Player, so I am at a loss. Thank you for any help!

It is just the opposite for me. At first it was both Firefox and Internet Explorer (since the updates a few nights ago); but now it is only happening on Internet Explorer for me. I updated everything, cleared all my temporary files (cache) and cookies, and I went as far as turning off all my security including firewalls and pop-ups--but nothing was worked. It is very annoying be cause I prefer to use Internet Explorer (Firefox is a lot slower on my computer--I have no idea why, but it is!)

I hope they fix it for everyone soon!

To get rid of the XXXXs on the log in screen:

I just found a solution that works for me (if this works for you, you may need to use it every time you clear your temp files and cookies):

1) go to the website http://www.webkinz.com/us_en/

2) don't click "LOG IN"-- click on "Find Your Country"

3) click on "United States (English)" (or your country if it is there)

4) click "LOG IN" (even though this screen appears identical to the other one, it must have a different link or creates temporary files that the other screen doesn't)-- this should take you to the log in screen with writing (instead of the XXXXXs)

This worked for me. Using this method, the Adoption Center now works for me also. I hope it works for you. Let me know if it works.

Hi, SnoopysGirl--I've been seeing the same XO log-in, but I am able to get into the website. There have been several continuing glitches since they've done their most recent maintenance change. It's probably affecting others, too, and most likely will be fixed eventually.

I hope this helps a little; it's not just on your computer. But are you able to log in when they're not closed for their daily maintenance?

Same thing happened to me this afternoon. I closed the log in page. Then I cleaned out my Temporary Internet Files. Re-clicked on Log-In and all was fine. I had my normal log in page with words. Try cleaning out your temp files. Hope that works for you.

I am glad to see that it is not just me, although I wish others didn't have the problem also. Yes, I cleared out my temporary internet files, cleaned cookies, reset Safari (I have a Mac), and I also did these things on my Firefox browser as well. I also then restarted my computer. I also removed Firefox and all of its' related folders and then re-downloaded and re-installed. Still, both browsers show XXXX's on login page, adoption page, and my Webkinz information book. I am really frustrated , since my kids' and I want to adopt new pets, but can't. I do have a call in to Ganz, but I am not sure if I will be called back. I sent them an e-mail and I have a customer service code, but I don't know. Any other ideas? Do you think the problem is just Mac computer related? Thanks all!!!

P.S. Sorry, I forgot to include that, yes, I can still log in. I just can't adopt (because of the XXXX's) or see any information in the Webkinz book.

P.P.S. Whew! Lots of posts! Didn't have any issues until the update. This just happened since the Webkinz update.

Wow! You did a lot more than I did to try to get the website to run correctly. I deleted my temporary files again this morning, but things are the same. It's not the Mac--I'm using a PC. A lot of times when WW changes things, other glitches continue until they fix them.

Is anyone else having the same problems?

So, Ganz called me back today. They didn't have any help with the XXXX on all of the words, but they did adopt the pets for me, which was very nice! They say that they are aware that this is happening to some people, and that they don't know if it is me or them (I think with all of the things I did to resolve it, it is probably something with the site), but they will be working on it. Hopefully soon I will be seeing words and not XXXX!!!
