Default Answered: Can you "redo" rooms?

Say I've got a room that I've painted the walls red and put purple tile down (just totally grabbing random colors)...and say I want to do something different with the room than what has been done up until now.

As part of that change, can I repaint the walls, say, blue and put white tiles down?

Or, am I stuck with a red and purple room when I really want a blue and white one?

You can lay new wallpaper and flooring over the old ones. I do that all the time!
