Default Unanswered: Can webkinz pets be washed?UPDATE

We had a bottle of color safe bleach fall and got 3 of my son's webkinz wet. One wasn't so bad but another was soaked. I'm almost positive I'm going to have to wash them in some way I was just wondering how they would turn out. And if they would survive the bath.

Well, I would put them in a pillow case and put your washer on a gentle, quick cycle and let them air dry.

Or you could hand-wash them. Hope this helps!

I've washed mine and they come out nice! I've also put them in the drier. I don't like to let stuffed animals air dry because it takes so long I'm afraid mold will grow inside.

Thanks guess I'll be doing some washing while I wait for Arte.

I'm not worried about mold if it can grow with this much bleach were all in trouble.

Exclamation Re: Can webkinz pets be washed?

I looked at the faq's and they say surface wash with baby shampoo..

I just e-mailed Ganz because my daughter and her friend got the witch costume and when they removed them from their favorite pets this week.. both the pug (my daughters favorite!!) and her friends yellow lab :gr:are ruined. They are covered in black dye.. I don't know what to do now.. Looks like i have to go find yet another pug...

Has anyones else had this problem???

Well I'd hate to say do it and they get worse, but my little boy has a lil kinz hippo he carries around constantly. I usually just throw him in with whatever load I'm doing about once a month. He always comes out fine, but I can't blame you for being warry. Good luck! (I throw the hippo in, not my son)

I've washed some of ours that needed it (even the crazy haired ones like the collie, samoyed, himalayan, etc).. all turned out fine

What I do is put them in a pillow case, either tie it shut or I use one specifically for them that have a zipper on it...
Cold water, NO dryer (let them air dry)
If you put them in the dryer, ones w/ the long crazy hair, and even the horses manes will fuzz up and you'll be upset, LOL.. so NOOOO dryer

Also, the ones w/ the crazy hair, I don't use liquid fabric softener with those kind... I washed the Himalayan once and put the liquid softener in and I had to wash it again because it felt kinda odd.. LOL

I've had to wash some of ours before. They fell victim to a throwing up owner! I surface washed them with detergent, let them air dry and brushed them out afterward, and they are good as new.
