Default Answered: Can I use baby wipes to clean my webkinz plush?

Just got my Hummingbird plush in mail (got the code before it was shipped)
And its beak is pretty dirty, was wondering how can I clean it?

Here's my story- You see I was eating a sandwhich upstairs in my room and then splat- some ketchup fell onto my plush leo. So my mom got some disanfectent wipes (like lysol) and she wiped the stain off. I suggest you use lysol disenfectent wipes or baby wipes, because there are certain webkinz you can't put in the wash like signatures and the webkinz that have the stringy hair (like googles, ect) Hope this helps!

I think baby wipes might work.

Depending on which plush it is, many have been machine washable for me. The fluffy webkinz, such as the Yorkie and the mane of the Lion will get matted if you put them in the DRYER, but most of the webkinz will survive the dryer as well. They also air dry well and quickly for me.

If you're reluctant to machine wash it, you should try just a damp washcloth first, and see if a bit of gentle scrubbing will get it out. Baby wipes are good for some cleaning, however if any of the soap residue from the baby wipe is left in your plush, it will actually attract MORE dirt if it isn't rinsed out. Speaking from experience. So, should you choose to use a baby wipe, I would reccommend using a damp washcloth AFTER the wipe to rinse out the soap.

the best way to wash a stuffed animal is to put it in a pillowcase knot the end of the pillowcase then stick it in the washing machine.

I just throw the webkinz into the washing machine and most of them into the dryer with no problems (no dryers for collie like fur webkinz)

My problem is that it's not all dirty, most of it is fur like, and only the beak which is fabric is dirty, I will try cleaning it with baby wipe first and see if it helps, if not I will try the washing machine tips, but I'm too scared to go on and put it in the drier xD

Well, I threw mine in the pool. But, as cows said, you can just throw it in the washer and it will be clean, just make sure it gets 100% dry, because if it's not dry, it will kinda smell.

I think baby wiped would work fine. I've washed and dried (in the drier) my origninal golden retreiver several times. But I wouldn't do it with the hummingbird personally. But baby wipes or just maybe a wet wash cloth would probly work. (: Congrats on your hummer xD
