Question Unanswered: Avatars Blurry?

Recently, almost all of my avatars that I try to use are blurry.

It's probably because I upload an image that I first saved as a GIF, then WI said it has the wrong file extension, so I switched it to a PNG, so now it's blurry because it's not the original file extension.

I tried switching the file extension to a different one. Still blurry. The images are not blurry when I open them on my computer.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

If the dimensions are larger than 125x125, WI automatically compresses it and makes the image smaller and more blurry.

Whenever I make an avatar or find one that I like on another website, I always save it as PNG and it comes out great...

No. Actually, making an image larger would make it more blurry. Not smaller.

But anyways, yes, PNG is the best way to go. GIF is also good, but if it's not animated, your best bet is probably PNG.
Sometimes saving as a JPEG makes it blurry, (Haven't found out why.) and something else does too, but I can't remember what it is right off hand....

I tried asking one, but nothing happened.

I've checked the file size of my images. Most of them are around 100x100, 19.4.

I save it as the original file size when I find one on a site, and I save it as a PNG when I make one. The ones I make turn out fine.

I always use PNG when I save images I make.
