Default Unanswered: Animating w/ Photoshop help?

Hi there. I'm having problems with animating on Photoshop. I believe I have the version 8.0 so I don't think it's a problem with my version, but it may be, I'm not entirely sure.

I would like to animate pictures. When I create a new file, I'm using the layers, and the problem is when I get to the saving the picture. This is what I get when I want to save it as a GIF file:

Click the image to open in full size.

As you can see, it's not letting me click the "Layers'' option. Is this just my computer or is it something else?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

DIBS

I'm not sure... as smallmoneky said, I have a different version, also. I make the frames in photoshop, then put them together in a different program, sorry, I don't know what you mean.

I have 5.0 so my version is much older than your version but this is what it looks like for me:

Click the image to open in full size.

So I guess my question is this: have you actually tried clickin the layers button? As you can see, my layers as frames box has that scary exclemation point as well, but it is still clickable...and when you were attempting to show this, did you already have multiple layers on your image?

Yes, I had multiply layers. I tried clicking it, no luck. I can show you what it says! Just let me get a screen shot

:/ It doesn't say anything, I forgot xD It just doesn't let me click it I tried asking my sisters about it but they said that I have to use ImageReady. This is really confusing lol

In my opinion, animation is a lot easier with Animation Shop.
Free Dowload ---> J u s t F r a m e l e s s

All you do is Make the first frame in photoshop ----> Save
and once you have all the frames saved, upload them on Animation Shop and it will animate it there and save it.

If not, this is what I do, Open up The Animation in Photoshop.
Windows>> Animation

Create the animation

File>> Save for Web and Devices
And this should come up-
Click the image to open in full size.

BTW, I have Photoshop CS4 but this may still work.

for my version of photoshop (elements 8 ), yo have to go to save<save for the web< and check the box that says animate, and then you get a preview of your animation and you can it there!
