Default Unanswered: Adding pic.'s

Hi everyone! I have a question that I need some help with. When I go to someones page and leave a visitors post, I'd like to put in a picture like other people do. When I click on add photo, a small box opens asking for the photo's URL. How and where do you get that? The one time I tried to paste a URL in the spot, the only thing that showed up on the post was a white box with a red X in it. How does everyone put images into their visitor posts? I'm getting so frustrated with myself. Please help me with this if you can! When you explain it remember that I don't know a lot of computer lingo so please try and keep it simple. Besides, that I'm a blond. LOL! Thank-you!

Are you sure you weren't clicking the "Insert Link" one? Click the one with the mountain- it'll insert a picture.

Hi Softballmom,

There are two ways to incert a picture in a profile. I'm going to get a link that explains how to get a URL. BRB

Here is the link from Webkinzlover525's post:
http://www.webkinzinsider.com/forum/...ave-t8630.html

The other way to incert an image to a profile is to copy & paste. Right click on an image you wish to copy, select paste. then left click where you want to incert it, right click, & select paste. then incert your image. I'll go incert a copy of your avvie on your profile to show you.

Welcome to WI, & thanks for askin

I have another way if you are still having troubles.

First, upload the picture to tinypic.com
When you upload it, you will be given around 4 codes you can use. Copy the" Direct Link for Layouts" code. Then, click on the little mountain square, and delete any text in there. Then, paste the link and press "okay"

or...

you could paste the "IMG Code for Forums & Message Boards" code directly into the body of your post.

Good luck!

I get my pictures from www.glitterfy.com and www.glitter-graphics.com.
I got my profile picture from glitter graphics. You need a userid and password to get the pictures from glitter graphics. Then you set up your age in the user settings. You need to rate the pictures (if you like them or not) and leave comments if you want to use their pictures.
You can save the picture on your computer or use the code they give you under:
Copy this HTML code to your (myspace) profile or website:
The code looks like this.
<a href="http://www.glitter-graphics.com"><img src="http://dl8.glitter-graphics.net/pub/23/23578ax43ej9eiy.gif" width=100 height=120 border=0></a>
To get the picture you only use the part of the code in pink. It starts with http and ends with .gif.
You click on Insert image (the mountains in the yellow box) and put the code in there.

You can also save the pictures on your computer and put them in an album. Then you can use the URL code from your album. Some picture are too big for albums and you go to tinypic.com to make them a smaller size.
Here are some links that can help too.
How to take pics, save them, and put them on wi:
