Even Webkinzs Or WI will not ask for your password !!! You were smart not to give it ! I just hope that everyone Remembers to NEVER give out your PASSWORD to ANYONE ...not friends or anyone that says they are from WW or WI !!!!! Keep yourself Safe !
If anyone gets this, they really should save the message and then get the user info from the email source. That is the information that tracks where the message came from. This is the info that ganz can use to help, if they were to help that is....
When my room wouldn't open, support@ webkinz.com said iif the problem wasn't soved in the next few sdays , send us your username, password, date of birth ,phone number, pet's name and secret code, and room name!
That's very weird. I was just thinking of posting the question of why would Ganz in a follow up to an" item frozen" request for assistance e-mail me asking me for my "secret code".
They asked for the standard identification stuff you have when you register but I responded with details of only my account sign on name date of birth and asked what they meant by my secret code. Did not give password as I know they can get into the account to fix it. I thought that very strange. It did come from their e-mail account though...so I am truly puzzled. Same e-mail address that is posted on this site to contact them...the firstname.lastname@example.org one.
Has anyone had dealings with them on tech support and did they ask for the same info? I'm curious why anyone would be asking for a password unless for bad reasons.
I truly hope someone can find the source of your nasty e-mail. I sure hope they are not somehow connecting to webkinz users for scams. There are too many children that would be very upset if something happened to their beloved webkinz. Adults too but children just don't understand.
Yes I had something stuck and they asked for this info, they need it to get in an fix the problem. I changed my password as soon as it was fixed.
