Aedo looked around him, wondering where the noise was coming from. Something flew over his head, catching his eye. "Who's there?" he called, shifting again. He decided not to take flight - how would whoever else who was there find him? He tried to make himself stick out, but he was still hard to see.
Aedo shrugged. "I'm a warrior," he said simply, then dove to the ground where she seemed to be talking about. Sure enough, there seemed to be some insects and mice scurrying around on the ground. He landed a yard or so away from them, waiting to make sure Ihi was still nearby.
Krol followed her, but stayed a respectful distance away. "Are you OK?" he repeated, looking out over the land. He was still hardly used to the fact that everything he could see from his house was his. He turned his gaze to the hollow. "Are you hungry?" he added, hoping to make her feel a little better.
"I guess." Olevia squawked as she looked at the setting sun. "Yeah, but it's ok. I'll get food at dusk." Olevia stood up, and sat in her pile of twigs, more commonly known, her bed. She pushed her claws away to the side, and the sighed. "I think I want to sleep outside today. I think I need some fresh air." Olevia placed a wing on her head and kicked her bed outside on a branch. It was now more or less just a few sticks. She sat down, and closed her eyes. "Good.....morning-or whatever."
"I guess." Olevia squawked as she looked at the setting sun. "Yeah, but it's ok. I'll get food at dusk." Olevia stood up, and sat in her pile of twigs, more commonly known, her bed. She pushed her claws away to the side, and the sighed. "I think I want to sleep outside today. I think I need some fresh air." Olevia placed a wing on her head and kicked her bed outside on a branch. It was now more or less just a few sticks. She sat down, and closed her eyes. "Good.....morning-or whatever."
Krol stayed by her side, sleeping out on the branch. He yawned, and clicked his beak happily. "Good sleep," he decided on saying, and gazed out over the land. He watched things as they moved around and passed by their home, before closing his eyes. As the sun rose, he doze off, rather content.

At hearing the warrior's voice, Horizon stopped and hovered over the Startree. "Aedo?" she called softly. Amber leaves spiraled around her, and she shuddered as a pine needle brushed her cheek. She fluffed out her feathers in an attempt to block out the biting cold. "Where are you?"

"Really? Yeah, the problem is, I just go out there and become a huntress or what?" she said eating insects, Ihi was really hungry that day. "Exploring? Well, I liked this tree and well it seemed nice so I explored and settled in, I usually explore when I find a good place, but most of the times I go away, but I like it here and I doubt I will go away, you know I've been trying to fit in a lot of times, but I really really really liked this place!" she ate another mouse.

"I'm here in my tree," he added in the loudest voice he could muster. He shuffled his feet and tried to make himself stick out.

Olevia woke up to the sound of voices. She stood up, the sunset at her face. It brought up so many new possibilities. She felt like she just wanted to fly right through it, but she knew she never could. But, it did make her want to fly. She hopped up a few branches, and flew to the top of the tree. The orange light illuminated her purple eyes. She spread her wings, and dove to fly across the land. The wind blew her lightly as she floated in the sky. She wanted to touch the clouds. Olevia smiled as she started to float into the sunset.

"Oh, there you are," the black-faced medicine owl grinned, landing on a frail, crooked branch. As she remembered what she had discovered, her smile faded. "Someone moved our nest, Aedo. There's a gaping hole underneath where it once was."

We ought to find some new things for our nests, he thought, looking out his small window.

Korl heard a distant voice and walked outside. "Hello?" he repeated, scanning the sky for any other owl. Someone was always wanting to see him, him being king and all. He nudged a loose leaf from the branch and watched as it fell slowly to the ground. He turned his gaze back to the sky, wondering who was calling him.
