OOC: I would be happy to rp with you... since I am the only one with a legit character so far xD I actually have two more.... but I need to put their names up there :3
The leaves of the palm trees created a circular-shaped patch of shade on the hot sand, inviting both birds and humans alike to take shelter from the blazing sun above. Logan seated herself into the white sand, and immediately buried her hands into the earth, seeking the cooler, wet sand beneath. Tipping her head back, she let the wind blow her thin, whispy brown hair away from her face.
She didn't stay in that position long, as the muscles in her neck quickly started to ache from it. So she laid on her back, her hands still invisible in the gritty island floor. She hummed a little tune out loud, just to amuse herself. It distracted her from thinking about the wreck that put her here. She didn't think about the look of fear on the pilot's face as he turned around from the cockpit to tell her to find her life jacket. She most certainly didn't think about that sudden terror she'd felt when she glanced out her window only to see the thick, black smoke erupting from the engine on their plane.
A bird squawked above her, and she opened her eyes, placing one hand in a salute-like position so she could see better. It sounded like it was on top of the tree, probably nestled in the nest of leaves that was naturally made by tree. Logan liked the birds well enough on the island, but she also loathed them. They could fly away, fly back to civilization. She couldn't. She was stuck here. Forever.

Ever found that things just didn't add up in your head. The why never quite fit into the entire equation or there was some crucial part that you were missing? Oh, don't be coy, of course you have. Everyone has felt out of the loop at some point in time even if those times are as insignificant as not understanding a math lesson or not being invited to a birthday party. Bump that scale up a notch... or a hundred and you get just how Marcus was feeling. Freaking out: no, Angry: No, Grief stricken: still no. What he felt was confused,
It was a common symptom of islanders who had been there for at least a month or two. First couple days or weeks on the island are spent lamenting, crying, learning how to survive but once someone understands how it works... there is a lot of time to just think. How many times has the word 'Why?' been whispered late at night when everyone is trying to sleep but can't? What went wrong? How did I deserve this? Why did this happen? Why... why... why?
The sun was bright overhead, more so than the usual blistering heat he had grown so used to. The beaches provided little cover though there were quite a few older more experienced survivors out with weaved nets attempting to gather fish. The waters were teaming with life if you could just get a hold of it. Marcus though was watching the trail of smoke that still floated from the trees. Another plane had landed a mile back during the darkest time of the night. People ran to help... but just like always, many died during those first few hours. Many more would die in the weeks to come. The first few plane crashes were on their own.... but now the people of the island had gathered. Some, but very few, had been here for years and they passed down the experience. Not many lived long enough on the island to really become more than a face in the crowd. To many disappeared away from the group.
Welcome to the island newbies. You have a lot to learn.
