"Oh," Ty replied, still not eating, "something about how he could see right through my act, and I was smart. It didn't make much sense to me."

"I think he's a little bit of a shady character, so-" I started to say, getting irritated.
"Chris thinks he's fine," Derik said innocently. I wasn't sure if he realized he was cutting off my every sentence or not.
"Chris is wrong," I snapped.
