Oh, wow, no recent posts... might as well break the ice then!!

I tried this out for Cascalleau Aquappa:

So: Happiness=22, Health=14, Hunger=16

Am I doing it right? This is my first time doing this...

- How to Help -

If you would like to help test boosts, please follow these instructions:
Spoiler: show

ANYONE CAN HELP!

To see if a food has been tested or not, follow this link: Boost Values - Other Foods - Webkinz Insider Wiki

Allow a Webkinz pet's boost bars to drop quite a ways before testing the food. A good example of values to be at for a regular recipe before testing is below. These should vary depending on the food.

Hunger: 81, Health: 89, Happiness: 86

Note that it is a good idea to feed immediately after your pet's values have dropped. If they haven't dropped recently, wait until after they do. This helps avoid them dropping as you feed the food or directly after you feed it.

Mark down the numbers your pet has BEFORE you feed the food. Then feed the food and mark down the numbers your pet has AFTER.

Post your results on this thread.

Some boost values we still need to find:

Verification for Whirlowisk
Bramblefuzz
Grufflegoop
Plink-a-Plunk
Whispacrumb
Yuminedum

Fleefgrimbles
Macdoodles
Splatibonk
Winsabrim Kabrang
Wozzled Elphinda

ANY food that is not listed on the "Other Foods" page!

IN RECIPE-SOLVING:

Solving recipes by the HHH boosts is PROVEN to work - 4 secret recipes have been solved because of the information provided in the boosts.

The examples are Cogitaticake, Rextexmex, Megachinewich, and Maizealoop.

Posts from this thread:

Spoiler: show

I received a Cogitaticake on December 1st 2008.

At approximately 3:30 the next afternoon, I solved my second secret recipe (Cogitaticake). It came simply because I found out the HHH boosts by feeding the Cogitaticake to my pet. Seeing a 24 hunger boost caused me to realize that the recipe needed some pretty high-boosting ingredients. I made a list and worked through to solve it!. The recipe for Cogitaticake is carrot cake (10) + spaghetti (12) + french fries (4) to make a total of 26 points for hunger.

On December 4th, 2008, sydney88 and I used the same technique to race each other to solving Rextexmex!

More high boosts!

We both made lists and went through eliminating all combinations that fit these boosts.

Later that same night Rextexmex was solved by sydney88. The ingredients were chicken nuggets (9) + nacho chips (6) + coconut (4) making a grand total of 19 points for hunger which is exactly on.

Default Re: Verified Point (HHH) Boosts of W Shop Foods, Recipes, and Unsolved Recipes

Will the current boost pages be kept as archives or will they be overwritten with the new boost values introduced with X?

I'm currently feeding all my pets the wShop foods and recording boosts where I catch them in an Excel document.

Thanks for bringing this up.

I certainly don't feel inclined to throw away the old boost values. But I also feel reluctant to replace them at all because I'm an old fogey. I've checked out some of the new values, and they don't make any sense whatsoever. You can feed eggs straight from the W Shop and get more points than from Chortletorte, which costs six times as much. The old system made sense for so many reasons. I don't mind change except that it's nonsensical.

If this were six years ago, I would have tried to get them to change it. Unfortunately, it's not worth the time anymore. In spite of all this, I certainly would be glad to see the new boosts collected, provided they aren't modified with the updates that were discussed for the feeding system.

Default Re: Verified Point (HHH) Boosts of W Shop Foods, Recipes, and Unsolved Recipes

I finished getting all the hunger boosts for wShop foods. (Not including PSFs -- I noticed that each PSF gives a different boost when fed to its respective pet... ugh) Energy & happiness are still pending for each pet. I have a document for wShop, recipe, PSF, and other.

I have no idea how to transfer information from an Excel document to a forum post or to a WIki table. I have exported each one to a .txt document, tab delimited if that's of any use. For now, here are screenshots (currently ordered alphabetically)

I agree that the boost values make no sense. Actual results are also not consistent with what they've hyped: they told us meals are going to boost more than snacks, and that healthy food will boost more than unhealthy... so why is Ice Cream the 3rd most cost-efficient hunger booster? Why does a Pumpkin boost the most, who eats a whole pumpkin as a meal?
