- How to Help -

If you would like to help test boosts, please follow these instructions:
Spoiler: show

ANYONE CAN HELP!

To see if a food has been tested or not, follow this link: Boost Values - Other Foods - Webkinz Insider Wiki

Allow a Webkinz pet's boost bars to drop quite a ways before testing the food. A good example of values to be at for a regular recipe before testing is below. These should vary depending on the food.

Hunger: 81, Health: 89, Happiness: 86

Note that it is a good idea to feed immediately after your pet's values have dropped. If they haven't dropped recently, wait until after they do. This helps avoid them dropping as you feed the food or directly after you feed it.

Mark down the numbers your pet has BEFORE you feed the food. Then feed the food and mark down the numbers your pet has AFTER.

Post your results on this thread.

Some boost values we still need to find:

Verification for Whirlowisk
Bramblefuzz
Grufflegoop
Plink-a-Plunk
Whispacrumb
Yuminedum

Fleefgrimbles
Macdoodles
Splatibonk
Winsabrim Kabrang
Wozzled Elphinda

ANY food that is not listed on the "Other Foods" page!

- Applying the Information -

FOR ALL MEMBERS:

Buying foods smartly can receive great results. By using boost values, you can discover what foods to feed your pets at certain times. For example, if your pet has a low happiness boost but full hunger and health boosts, just feed it some marshmallows which will bring up your happiness continuously without ever filling up your pet!

The Boost Values of all W Shop Foods can be found here:

IN RECIPE-SOLVING:

Solving recipes by the HHH boosts is PROVEN to work - 4 secret recipes have been solved because of the information provided in the boosts.

The examples are Cogitaticake, Rextexmex, Megachinewich, and Maizealoop.

Posts from this thread:

I received a Cogitaticake on December 1st 2008.

At approximately 3:30 the next afternoon, I solved my second secret recipe (Cogitaticake). It came simply because I found out the HHH boosts by feeding the Cogitaticake to my pet. Seeing a 24 hunger boost caused me to realize that the recipe needed some pretty high-boosting ingredients. I made a list and worked through to solve it!. The recipe for Cogitaticake is carrot cake (10) + spaghetti (12) + french fries (4) to make a total of 26 points for hunger.

On December 4th, 2008, sydney88 and I used the same technique to race each other to solving Rextexmex!

And thanks for not keeping it to yourself overnight! ;)

Later that same night Rextexmex was solved by sydney88. The ingredients were chicken nuggets (9) + nacho chips (6) + coconut (4) making a grand total of 19 points for hunger which is exactly on.

And more recently:

Do they equal out the same each time, though? I mean, for example, if the pet is lower or higher does the number {or numbers} change? I'm going to go in to my account and see which ones I have and get back to you about it {merge post or whatever}.

---------- KeyLargo added 11 Minutes and 16 Seconds later ----------

I keep my brats too well, I have to wait a bit on one to get it a bit low to do this at all LOL but I'll be back.

Yes, the boosts should be the same each time you feed the recipe no matter what numbers you are currently at. :)

Re: Help Verify Hunger and Health Boosts of Unsolved Recipes

Y'all sure about all this? I got down to only 96 on top so that is a bit messed up but the other two was 78 and 60 yet when I ate the poppaballo it went to 100 {only 4 but wasn't low enough though I tried} then 84 which was 6 so that matched but the 60 went to 70 and that's 10 not 5.

---------- KeyLargo added 6 Minutes and 20 Seconds later ----------

Wait a minute, you doing them from top to bottom, no, bottom to top, right? So that would be the 60 to 70 10 points was hunger then 78 to 84 6 for health then 96 to 100 for 4 with * that I wasn't low enough on happiness. Okay. Wish I had the YTT, thought I did, will go look some more {used to collect food so had to collect fridges to keep dock clear so gave it up a while back but still a few fridges LOL}

---------- KeyLargo added 9 Minutes and 29 Seconds later ----------

I swear I had one; off to check the Brit and the Asian accounts LOL

---------- KeyLargo added 19 Minutes and 21 Seconds later ----------

Can't find it anywhere, must have been thinking about one of the other two, dang. If no one comes up with one I'll go in to trade when I can type tomorrow morning and see if anyone has one I can get. Can't think of any other way to get one besides hitting it lucky on the next adoption or care tag. LOL

Re: Help Verify Hunger and Health Boosts of Unsolved Recipes

I wonder if I went in and offered a 1000 kc coin? I mean, considering how much I {and everyone else too of course} are spending tracking this down it would be a fair trade to get it, who knows. LOL

---------- KeyLargo added 5 Minutes and 9 Seconds later ----------

Too, going by that chart, the Hunger for something llike the ingredients of monstrosoupy would be 5 pickles 3 raisins 2 mushrooms yet the jump when fed to my pet is 11. Wonder if there is a point off or on for one of those for some reason?

Re: Help Verify Hunger and Health Boosts of Unsolved Recipes

That's too bad that no one can find a YTT.
It is the most important of all! ;D
I have been asking around on the DCT to see if anyone has one and I have not come up with any yet... I will again today.

Yes, it is true that these are not always correct. That is why this idea has been brought up and thrown away dozens of times.

They can be off by 1 or 2 points, but the main point is to get the boosts in a general sense. Since Poppaballoo has a very low hunger boost of 10, it is very unlikely (even with the fact it can be off) that it will use carrot cake, an ingredient I thought could be in it, which yields a 10 point hunger boost itself (or any other ingredient with a 10 point hunger boost). That basically eliminates spaghetti from the process, too.

---------- monkeecj added 26 Minutes and 53 Seconds later ----------

Since I am dealing with the 8/5/07 set primarily with this, this is how the boosts are for that set which came out with YTT:

Gladdugrumble: Foods Boost: 8 Recipe Boost: 9

Slipinsip: Foods Boost: 7 Recipe Boost: 7

Syzyglorbit: Foods Boost: 9 Recipe Boost: 10

Chimericamaki: Foods Boost: 12 Recipe Boost: 12

Those are VERY close. And one of the biggest things to notice is the exact values of Slipinsip, the other BLENDER recipe... I think we can be sure that YTT's foods have a +/-1 value of the recipe.

Now we just need to know the boost!

---------- monkeecj added 69 Minutes and 34 Seconds later ----------

This just in - a member is donating me a YTT later today!!!! - I can't wait! ;D

Those are VERY close. And one of the biggest things to notice is the exact values of Slipinsip, the other BLENDER recipe... I think we can be sure that YTT's foods have a +/-1 value of the recipe.

Now we just need to know the boost!

This just in - a member is donating me a YTT later today!!!! - I can't wait! ;D

I KNEW to check back in here before going in to the trading room to hunt one down LOL They don't have to 'donate' it, though, I would be willing to...hmmm, I know no trading, but say 'donate' them the 1000 kc coin I would have spent to get it {or spent in running recipe tries}, still. Doesn't matter who runs the test for it, in fact better if not me -- can't get Lady Grey or any of the others low enough now that I'm trying LOL
