I am so sorry for your situation. Get ahold of your vet, you want to make sure your pup didn't get any of that spray in her eyes. Your vet should be able to help with certain products to help with the smell. If not, check with exterminators in your area, sometimes they have to trap unwanted animals, ie skunks, and they have products that take care of ordors. There are cleaning companies out there that specialize in smell removal too, call around to them. We used a cleaning company when my moms freezer died and we didn't realize it for a few weeks. Hope this helps and good luck.
Well, I did talk with the vet, and he gave us a great formula to use; sort of a combination of dish soap, hydrogen peroxide, and baking soda. You just have to be careful to NOT get this in his eyes or mouth, and THOROUGHLY rinse it off. It really helped. Our poor puppy is a little 'embarrassed' looking this morning, if that's possible. Luckily, the skunk spray missed his eyes. THANK YOU all who posted and showed such kind concern I really appreciate that!
When I was little my old dog got sprayed right in the mouth..I don't really remember but Im pretty sure we used tomato juice. I also agree that you should bring the puppy to see the vet just in case
