Sadness came over Primrose Everdeen now that her elder sister had gone off to fight for her life in the Games. She laid in the bedroom she and her sister shared and stroked her pillow contently. Katniss was here. Katniss was laying here just this morning. Oh, Katniss. My sweet, sweet Katniss... Vulgar thoughts blasted through her head and she shot up from the pillow, wide-eyed like a deer. What am I thinking? Katniss is my sister! Especially with Gale drooling all over her! Well, maybe if I get rid of Gale...
Something furry stroked her leg and Prim looked down. Her cat, Buttercup sat down and obnoxiously meowed in her direction. Grinning, she picked up the cat and stared into its eyes. So majestic...like Katniss! Hmm...maybe she'll do quite nicely. Laying back down on the bed, she placed Buttercup next to her and kissed her nose. "I love you, Buttercup. I really, really do." she purred and the feline stared at her.
Soon, the lights were shut off and the sound of Buttercup's hissing and clawing ended this most glorious fanfiction.
Barreling with pride, Katniss entered the home with Peeta and Gale in tow. "I won the Hunger Games because I am Katniss Everdeen and I rock and like, dominated Twilight in the New York Times Bestseller!" she shouted.
"Uh, I won as well..." Peeta added.
"Shut up! This isn't your fanfiction!" Katniss barked and soon, the door opened. Prim walked in with three children following her. They had cat ears and swinging brown and black tails. Eyes went to the mutants and Gale cocked his head forward.
"Um...Prim...what happened?" he asked.
She hesitated and grabbed a bottle of water. She sprayed it at the children and they scampered off into a corner where they nestled into Buttercup, who was being suffocated by their weight. "They're the X-men, Gale." she bluntly answered.
Peeta and Katniss exchanged looks. "How come they look like you and Buttercup...?" the female victor asked.
"I love you, Katniss!" Prim shouted and then she flushed red, trying to come up with a better excuse. "Your victory gave us the ability to clone Buttercup and it went horribly wrong."
Silence overtook the room. "I can buy that." Peeta said.
"Same here!" Gale started to wiggle like Japan after Italy had given him a tour of his country.
I still love you, Katniss. Prim thought as she went towards the cat-human children and Katniss went to giggle with Gale.
