Has anybody here ever been put under anesthesia for a surgery? Can you comfort me? I am really scared!

I have had eye surgery and since you are young they will most likley give you gas and the cool thing is at my hospital they let you choose what the gas smells like i chose watermelon! its actually not that bad once they give it to you your not awake for more than 10 seconds! so if your worried about when it kicks in then well it kicks in pretty fast! so all in all dont worry these are people who went to medical school for about 8 years to do exactly that so just relaxe I am sure you will be ok.

I had my appendix out and i had to be put under neath that. I am perfectally fine!! You will be okay! I will pray for you!

i was and i had bubblegun scent and i got to keep the thing! when you wake up you feel weird thats all i remember cause i was knocked out

I have had surgery three times :O

It doesn't hurt at all, but when they give you anesthesia, don't get bubblegum! It makes anesthesia worse

I've had anesthesia a couple times, It smells weird for a couple of seconds, and then I don't remember anything until I woke up, and it was all done!! Thank goodness for anesthesia!

It feels really funny. You get like all silly and say funny stuff it is FUNNY! I promise it doesn't hurt. I counted to 4. I was like " 1 (yawn) , 2 (I said something Funny) , 3 (I was ALMOST asleep) , 4... (I was asleep, and then I dont remember anything)

Its totally normal to be really scared!! I know I would be terrified.

Last November my boyfriend needed to have surgery because he broke his ankle. He had anesthesia and I was crying when they took him away. He was totally fine afterwards, a little dizzy and a litle thirsty.

I have had surgery before, but it was way more serious than yours. I don't know if u will get this done, but i was given a liquid medicine that made me sleep. Then when i was asleep, they put all of the I.V.s and stuff in. Don't worry about it, you'll be fine.

I haven't, but my little sister has twice. I ear that it's not bad, you just breathe in some gas, and you'll be sleepy for a while, but that's all pretty much, I hope you feel better soon!
