Has anybody here ever been put under anesthesia for a surgery? Can you comfort me? I am really scared!

I have never had surgery that required anesthesia. But my mom has had many.. everytime she is just fine.
If this helps.. think of how many millions of people have surgery everyday.

Broken nose? Ow!

Not for surgery, but for dental stuff I have. If they do a gas, you just feel all loopy (it's kinda fun, except the room spins alittle! Sorta like your own little party! Woohoo!) If they do an IV or a shot, it just kinda pricks your skin alittle and before you really know what hit you, nighty night! You're a sleep and you feel nothing. So it's kinda fun to me. xD

I have been under several times so I can tell you the experience is okay. It's like your Doctor is talking to you and suddenly someone is waking you up. You don't even realize anything has happened. This is the experiences I have had. It wasn't bad at all. Try not to worry too much. I'll pray you have a good experience.

I had two surgerys, both from when I was little. I had ear surgery ( ear infection) and belly button surgery. ( About the belly button surgery: I used to be an outie aka" the rare speciman" and my parents applied for a surgery to make me an innie. even though I never got stitches, I still have a scar under my belly button.) In both surgerys, I got anesthesia, but I never felt anything. (That is the good part of the anesthesia!)

Im not sure, I have never had surgery before. But I hope all goes well.
I almost broke my nose once. I was playing basketball in school and a girl elbowed me in the nose. I was gushing blood, lucking it was just a horrible swelling nose bleed.

Actually, i got a mole removed from my leg, and the numbing stuff was a cream, and then a shot that I couldnt feel... i watched the entire time and didnt feel anything(:

I've never had a surgery, but my mom has had a lot,and she say's that she just counted backwards from 100,and the farthest she got was like 90. You won't feel anything during the surgery, so no worries,but you'll be in my prayers!

All I can say is to relax, and not worry. I've been under anesthesia several times, it's no big deal. Basically, they put a mask over you which starts to calm you, then they give you a shot, and you fall asleep. You don't feel anything, and when you wake up you won't remember what happened. Usually, when I wake up I am crying && hyperventilating, but it all just depends on the person, and it passes after a minute or so. There is nothing to worry about (:
