hamsters usually live up to 2 years. but they CAN live up to 3.
currently, i don't have any hamsters. but i used to have many. i'm not sure what brand the cages were but the good one's that would last awhile were always made of metal. don't buy the plastic type. they don't last as long and are not as good of an environment for your hamster. you don't need a big fancy cage for just one hamster. i think a metal cage with at least two floors is good. the floor of the cage, and a another small floor above it. another thing, your hamster should always have a running wheel in its cage. its good exercise.
My hamster lived up to three or four years. (I still miss her.)
If you want any other tips on how to take care of a hamster, try a website my uncle uses called Hamster Hideouts. It has tips on hamster food, cleaning, creative crafts for hamster cages, hamster health, and other stuff. I went on there when I had my hamster, Cutter, and it really helped a lot.
I think hamster live around 3 years (i've never had a hamster so i'm not completely sure)
I currently have a pet mouse and taking care of a mouse is similar to taking care of a hamster. This is the cage i have (it's a Critter Trail cage)
It's a little over a foot long and about 10 inches tall.
Well, I have had about 6 different hamsters. There ages vary..... I mean, they REALLY vary.
We have had hamsters live between the ages of 3 1/2 years to 6 months! It all depends on how you take care of them. And, it is very hard to find out there age. When they are available to adopt, they don't really grow.
I had the cage xx_jenny_xxx had shown (right above me).
Hamsters are good pets, not my favorites (I prefer guinea pigs and rats). Depending the type, they are friendly. There is a type of hamster I had, a fancy russian dwarf hamster, was not very nice... He was alright with me but, he hissed......*shivers* So, yeah, if you want your parents to like rodents, don't get a fancy russian dwarf..
I got a hamster at the beginning of the school year (: His cage has two parts... the main part is:
Length- 14 inches
Width- 9 inches
Height- 9.5 inches
So the volume would be... 1,197 square inches I think... unless I made a multiplication mistake.
The top part is:
Length- 5 inches
Width- 7 inches
Height- 4 inches
Volume- 140 square inches
Hamsters can live about... I don't know, two years maybe?
And I don't know the brand... let me check if we still have the box. Okay, no box.
