Remember, you have to over come the basics, before you can do something complicated.

ok, this is a job for google!
well, When I thought of 1920s Hollywood Glamour, I thought Merlin Monroe

She has shorter hair, but overall during this time period, it was mostly curly hair, for every length

Both of these can be created with
-Hair spray
-Comb
-Curling iron
-Optional Fancy clip
First, part your hair on the side with the comb. Next Use the curling iron and curl your hair back (If you need help with that, PM me). Once you have all of your hair curled, use a normal amount of hairspray. For the finishing touch, add a fancy sparkley clip to the side with the most hair and TA-DA! 1920s Hollywood Glamour!
If that isn't exactly your "thing," there is one other option

It is a, about medium side pony that is curled. For the added GLAM add a silky pasley, or other funky design around the top of your head, and tie it in the back.
P.S. The picture doesn't show the exact design I thought of so try not to be confused, sorry about that!
I REALLY hope that I helped, and have fun experimenting with these glamourous designs!
It's actually spelled as Marilyn Monroe.

She's beautiful, isn't she?

She's incredible. So incredible that Andy Warhol painted a portrait of her.

I am going to ignore that insult
If you are going to post, please post nicely,
Sorry! I didn't mean that as an insult, I meant that it seems like a lot of effort to get lovely hair and I'm glad I don't care enough about mine to want to put in that effort.

If you need help with the straightening, just buy a really good flat iron. It works well for me.

ok i have REALLY straight hair, but whenever i blow dry after a shower, it poofs out. :p ugg i hate it!!! my mom HATES it when i go out when its wet, especially cold mornings. and water does nothing. i don't think that a straightning iron would do much, because my hair is like REALLY straight. and if this helps any, i have THICK THICK hair and layers and side swept bangs (those get poofy too, only naturally, im not worried about them)
