Default Good Grief, it’s the Oct 2 DCT!
Happy 60th Birthday Charlie Brown! On Oct 2, 1950, the first Peanuts comic strip appeared in a newspaper, and ran without interruption for the next 50 years.

The author is Charles M. Schultz, 1922-2000. We all love the Peanuts characters, Linus with his security blanket, Lucy and her bossy ways, Schroeder the musical prodigy and his toy piano, good old Charlie Brown and especially Snoopy the Beagle. Whether dancing with the bunnies, flying his doghouse the Sopwith Camel, or chatting with his friend Woodstock the little bird, Snoopy is always the cool one.
You have all read the books, I’m sure, and seen the made-for-TV specials for Halloween, Christmas and Easter. Here are a few quotes from various characters to amuse you:

Lucy Van Pelt: "Happiness is a warm puppy."

Lucy again: " All you really need is love, but a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt."

Snoopy: "Dear IRS, Please remove me from your mailing list."

Linus : "I dread getting old... I don't want to have to wear bifocal teeth!"

Charlie Brown: "That's the secret to life... replace one worry with another."

Snoopy: "To live is to dance, to dance is to live."

Lucy of course has the last word: “I know the answer! The answer lies within the heart of all mankind! The answer is twelve? I think I'm in the wrong building.”
