I've read the books, they are all very good.
The story is interesting and it has a lot of twists, plus the characters are very lovable.
The author is good at creating complex relationships and good characters, and each character has their own backstory you learn about throughout the books.
The way it's written is very good. It can be understood easily by a seven or eight year old, but can also still be enjoyed by a sixteen year old.

You'll never know until you try them. I loved them. :]

Yes, I think that the books are far superior to the movies, though the movies are also excellent. I'd say to go for it and give the series a try.

Well, if you are watching the movies, I highly recommend reading the books. There are a lot of things in the books that are never mentioned in the movies (and a couple of characters).

The books are definitely worth it, far superior to the films.
If your library has the books-on-tape version, that's also great, and a nice option if you spend
alot of time in cars/buses, etc.
