Re: We're headed to Uganda, top six! Let's GO SEE this amazing place in Paige's WNTM, season two!
I also had to kinda stray away from Thalia's personality in crits, because if I stuck with it, everything she didn't like about it would sound terribly rude. xDDD
Okay, so I've promised to not reply to any VMs until I've got critiques and judging up. But I still need to know who Kianga is booking.

Well, everyone can blame me. xD Yes, my crazy conversation with Paige is still going on and if someone reads it, I shall promptly die.

Nah, it isn't your fault. It's mine for having no willpower against your amazing VMs. xD
When I was talking with Bojo, she was like "And the worst part is that I don't get to read your convo with that Tatiana girl. xP" and I was "Dude, if she knew you stalked us, she would die. xD"
Re: We're headed to Uganda, top six! Let's GO SEE this amazing place in Paige's WNTM, season two!
~It’s been two weeks since the models and judges arrived in Uganda, Africa~
“I’ve really enjoyed staying here! The little Ugandan kids are so cute!” Glaze, who is sitting in a chair next to Genevieve at the straw hut they had been staying in, says. Genevieve nods, smiling.
“I’m so nervous to see if I get booked by Thalia. If I do, I’ll be spending a lot of time with them.” The girls continue the topic, then get distracted and start talking about which pictures they submitted to each client for their go-sees. Luke opens the door quickly, a semi-exhausted smile on his face, with two kids hanging on his legs, and one on his back.
“I love these kids, but boy, are they a workout!” he exclaims. Genevieve and Glaze giggle, then get back to their chattering.
“Mmm, something smells good!” one of the children states. The other children nod, and hop off of Luke, who lets out a small sigh of relief. They scurry into Laveda’s room, which she had made a kitchen. She was teaching her favorite little African girl, Violet, how to make her precious cakecakecake. A cake had just come fresh out of the oven, and the delicious scent was spreading throughout the house. Normally, Laveda would have never shared, but for these kids, who were so unfortunate, she was more than willing to. As they were eating their cakecakecake, Madison, Thalia, Kianga, Krysten, Gabriella, Jasmine (and Sandy), Miyuki, and Andromeda enter, making Laveda’s small room quite crowded.
“Hello,” Madison says to Laveda, “I see you’re enjoying yourself with the kids. That was kinda unexpected.” “Well, in all honesty, I can’t see who wouldn’t love these kids.” Laveda says.
“It’s time to announce who we booked, so come on,” Thalia says, showing little emotion. Laveda tells the kids that she’ll be right back, then follows the crowd of judges and clients into the main room where the rest of the models are staying. All the models look pretty nervous.
“So as some of you know, Bree had some issues back at home, and had to fly home, so she will not be continuing with us,” Madison says, then pauses, “Amberleaf on the other hand... Well, we don’t know what happened to her. We just know that she flew home as well. Therefore none of you will be eliminated, seeing we lost two contestants in one round.”
"Now,” Thalia says, “you get to see what I thought of your go-sees.”
Luke: Surprisingly, I actually kind of liked your go-see. I saw the most emotion in picture one and three. The second picture didn’t show much emotion to me. To me, it really shows off your style more than what I was looking for. Another issue I have is that your answers where I asked you why you would be good to fit my job, you talked more about your style and explaining why you chose each picture. I suggest that for your next go-see with a question similar to that is explain each picture before you answer that question. Put a small caption under each picture, leaving you more room to state what you need to say, which gives you a bigger chance of getting booked. I was really touched on how you answered the question about why you loved modeling. In everyday life, I’m looked down upon because of my personality, so I know we can relate. I really liked your BQ, but although they were short, sweet, and to the point, I feel they are lacking just a bit of depth. In other words, I think they were just a bit too short, sweet, and to the point, you know? Although I really liked your go-see, it had more than just a few flaws, and I don’t really think you would be the right person for the job. Sorry, Luke, but I’m not booking you. You had the right stuff with your pictures, but your answers just weren’t what I was looking for.
Laveda: Wow, Laveda. This is just...wow. I really love the pictures you chose to send me; they really show emotion. One thing I wish you would have added was descriptions to each of the pictures you chose. Although it’s kind of obvious why you chose them, I think it would really help me get to know you a bit more. I can see the sheer emotion in the first two pictures. The third picture took me a while to get the emotion, but then it dawned on me that happiness is an emotion as well. Sometimes we don’t realize that we don’t need to have dark pictures of shots where you are just lost in thought to be emotional and passionate. Sometimes, you need to pull out a bright smile to show you really love something, you know? Anyways, let’s move on to your answers to the questions. One thing I can tell throughout your entire go-see is that you stayed so true to your personality. To be a model isn’t to be perfect, but to be unique. You show this character trait more than I have ever seen before. I can tell you are just like me just by your answer to the first question. I’ll tell you, your answer to my first bonus question was by far my favorite. It shows just how real and true to your personality you really are. Your other answers were very impressive as well. This was a spectacular go-see with its only flaw being a personal preference of mine. It didn’t take my deliberation to tell I was choosing to book you. You delivered great pictures as well as answers.
Glaze: One thing I can say that I saw through your entire go-see is your enthusiasm for making a difference in the world. I was most impressed by your first photo you delivered. You look so thoughtful and dreamy, and I just love it. The third pic would be my second picture. Love is an interesting emotion, and you showed it very well in this shot. Your second picture, however, isn’t one of my favorites. Like I said to Laveda, happiness is an emotion too, but in this picture, you look so casual, not passionate about something. Perhaps choosing a picture where you are smiling big would work better if you were really trying to show emotion and be happy at the same time. Now let’s move on to the answers. What you really succeeded with in your answers was mentioning why you chose each picture, but mainly focusing on why you think you would be fit for what I’m offering. That’s exactly what I was looking for, Glaze. Now we move on to the BQ. I was very touched by your first answer. I had never thought that modeling could accomplish something like that, but I would like to thank you for expanding my look on modeling. I know that a love of models would have said exactly what you said in your second answer to kiss up to the clients, but after reading through your whole go-see, I can tell you are the type of person that can say that and mean it. Models like that are so real, and I can tell you are a VERY real model. Keep up your helpful spirit, and you’ll go sooooo far in life. And although I loved your first and second BQ answers, your third made me smile the most. (which is pretty awesome, because I don’t smile much) Feeding them would be good, but not amazing if you brought them food with a negative look on your face. Showing these kids that you are happy to be giving them a gift would make such an impact. So as you can tell, I really enjoyed your go-see. I was trying to only book two models, but with this great piece of art, I think I need to make an exception. Though it has a few flaws, it was such a joy to read, and I would love to have you come with me to help feed these hungry children. Congratulations, Glaze. I’m booking you.
Genevieve: Your whole go-see was very nice, Genevieve. Your pictures were just stunning, and the little descriptions you put with them were just gorgeous. I definitely would not have understood the third picture especially without your caption. I REALLY love your second picture; it had such an African feel to it. In the first picture, I can tell by your smile that you love what you do. That is a great quality that can be quite hard to find. By looking at your pictures, I can tell you would be a great billboard model, with your passionate and eye-catching personality. I must say, however, that I saw more passion than emotion in your pictures, but both are great qualities. Now lets move on to your answers to my questions. Your answer to my first question just blew me away. I am wholeheartedly convinced that you mean what you say. It really touched me when you said that you would go days without eating if one child could have a good meal for the rest of their life. Not many people can say that and mean it, but I can tell you take serving very seriously. Your second answer, ironically, inspired me. What an amazing answer! I don’t even know how to describe it, but the words you used and your absolute passion for modeling is really inspiring. Now, lets move on to your BQ. I liked your first answer, but I felt it was the slightest bit repetitive of the last question you answered. By your second answer, I can tell not only how professional you are, but also how passionate you are for charity. In your last answer, I was glad you would spend a little on yourself. I’m also really glad that you would spread the money out between many charities. That would be such a blessing to whoever gets 1,000 dollars. Overall, I was extremely impressed with your go-see. It touched and inspired me in so many ways. With such a giving heart like you have, it would be such a waste to not book you. Your spirit for serving is just gorgeous, and I would be honored for you to accompany me.
Genevieve and Glaze high-five each other, while Laveda takes a bite of cake. Luke tries to look like it didn’t matter, but inside, he was very nervous.
Thalia steps back, and lets Andromeda take the spotlight.
First of all, I want to say that each of you did a great job... I wish I could book everyone!
Luke-
Questions: I can really feel your personality in this, and you made a lot of good points. Interestingly enough, HIV and AIDS rates have dropped significantly over the years in Uganda, but more can always be done to raise awareness! Great clothing choices, by the way... light clothes are a must, and you remind of Nautica and her fedora!
Pics: Three great photos with three great adaptations! My photo assignment was a little confusing, but you executed it perfectly.
Laveda-
Questions: Ooh, another set of fantastic answers! Like Luke you picked an important cause and everything was answered thoroughly but efficiantly.
Pics: I love these photos, but goodness is there a lot of baking going on! xD Nice job... thanks to Cara's good influence!
Glaze-
Questions: Ah, you poor dear! You didn't need to answer both sets of questions, but I love the extra work you put into it! Your answers had a lot of heart in them, and I found them really touching. Like Laveda you chose clean water as your cause, and great minds think alike!
Pics: At first I wasn't sure if your photos matched what I was looking for. I initially had physical acts of community service in mind, but I'm starting to like your more "figurative" approach to this... while you're not actually picking up trash or baking bread, you're helping change people's mindset. So, I ended up liking them after all!
Genevieve-
Questions: Gah, I'm so disorganized for a journalist- you, like Glaze, ended up answering questions you didn't need to, but I so appreciate the effort! You have a very in-your-face approach to things, but I like it... I think you have the drive to make the world spin the other way, if you wanted. xD You are so right about poverty in Uganda... women especially have a hard time there. I think new clothing would bring a smile to a lot of people's faces.
Pics: You also went for a more figurative approach, and I think your photos work well... maybe not quite as well as Glaze's, but they still work. I'm not so sure about your third shot as a cover pic, but something very similar with warmer colors would be great!
My choices...
The two models I felt did an AMAZING job and have ticket with their names on them are...
Luke and Laveda!
Glaze and Genevieve... I've booked you, too! I feel that each and every one of you have what it takes to make a difference, and I look forward to working with you more! As for our trip to Uganda, I'll get back to you as soon as I speak with the judges about something...
A smile appears on all of the models’ faces, for they were all glad to have been booked by Andromeda.
Andromeda steps back and allowed Sandy and Jasmine to speak. Just as she is about to speak, Jasmine spots a bit of icing above Laveda’s upper lip.
“If you lick me, I’ll kill you,” Laveda threatens, seeing the crazy gleam in Jasmine’s eyes. Sandy sets a hand on her sister so she doesn’t try anything funny.
"Threatening the clients might not be the best way to get booked, Laveda," Genevieve pipes in.
Laveda rolls her eyes, then Jasmine begins to speak-- or scream, if you want to call it that.
“I WANNNA BOOK GLAAAAZE!” Jasmine yells, then steps back. Glaze smiles brightly, satisfied.
Next, Miyuki steps forward. “Um, well, I would like to book Luke and Laveda; I really liked their pictures and answers.” She says shyly. Luke smiles and Laveda smirks, both pleased with themselves.
Kianga finally steps forward, and gives the contestants her critiques.
Laveda- I found her genuine, and even charming despite her usual abrassive personality! She managed to stay true to herself yet come across as caring. The photos she chose all showcased emotion PERFECTLY. I would book Laveda for sure!
Luke- Luke's photos were a little lack-luster for me. He chose a photo that he should have known wouldn't impress me because it didn't before, and only one of his photos came across as emotional. His answers weren't very memorable to me- I'm afraid to say that Luke didn't fit what I was looking for. I wouldn't book Luke.
Glaze- Glaze was genuine, classy, and professional! Two of her photos were filled with emotion, and although the other wasn't, really, it still showed her amazing talent! She didn't overdo her answers and she made sure to give me exactly what I asked for while still retaining her personality. I would book Glaze, for sure!
Genevieve- Genevieve over-did her answers and overthought her performance. If this had been an interview, I wouldn't have been able to get a word in edge-wise! It's important to show lots of passion, and I did see effort, but there was SO much effort put into her go-see that she sounded scripted and stiff. I liked a couple of her photos, and she's very talented, but I wasn't looking for an actor; I was looking for someone who cared enough about the topic to pour some relatable stuff out of their heart. I unfortunately wouldn't book Genevieve.
Laveda!!! Congratulations, Laveda, you've won the go-see challenge. Since you got first, you will be able to choose your teammate for the next round. Paige will PM you once you make a post on the thread, so we know you've seen your victory. Once again, congrats!
Glaze! You and Laveda were both booked by the same amount of clients, but Thalia said she liked Laveda's go-see just the tiniest bit more. You are an amazing model, and getting second is an honor. Great job, Glaze. <3
Genevieve! Andromeda and Thalia just adored your go-sees, but the other clients weren't as impressed. Your passion for what you do will really drive you to fame and victory, so keep up the good work!
Luke. You impressed Miyuki and Andromeda, but not many of the other clients. I think depth was the main thing you were lacking for Thalia's go-see, but we still enjoyed reading it.
"Since Bree dropped out and Amberleaf didn't send any go-sees in, no one will be eliminated." Krysten says, "We'll get back to the winner of the go-see challenge as soon as she posts on the thread so we can see she's seen her victory, then we'll get the new round up."
Madison waves, and motions for the clients to exit. All of them would be leaving back for the Untied States, except for Kianga, that is. "We'll see you models next round, alright?" she says, then looks to Laveda, "You, my friend, need to come with me to discuss the next round."
Laveda actually smiles, and follows the crows of judges and clients.
Thank you so much! I don't always book go-sees but when I do, I book a lot. *pushes her aside* Her arrogance is her way of showing gratitude. xD I can't wait to see what the next round is.
