Welcome to The Poet's Corner!
In this contest you will enter poems so you can make it to the next round of this contest. If you are the number one contestant you will get a reservation at the Poet's Cafe (see brochure below). What kind of poem will be said at the beggining of each round. After all poems have been entered I will copy-and-paste it into a poll.
To enter post a poem about Halloween in GREEN ink, it can be rhiming poem, a haiku, or any poem you wish, please just state the kind of poem it is. There are five spots left.
As there have been many arguements about what a haiku is I will give you MY rules for haikus. Haikus SHOULD not rhime. They have three lines, the first line has five syllables, the second has seven, the third has five again.
Misspelling is not tolerated, I will take off votes for misspelling, I can take off as much as five. Since I know simple typos happen I suggest you write your poem in Microsoft Word and copy-and-paste it to this page.
Brochure for Poet's Cafe:
