Anybody excited about Thanksgiving? I sure am. Oh, the turkey in thin slices and the mashed potatoes dripping with gravy... the buttery rolls and the stuffing and the sweet, savory cranberry sauce...
Yeah, never-mind, maybe, about that turkey part. I'm kind of confused about that. So, a new Webkinz joined our family today.
Meet Thomas Oatsley Harrison the Webkinz Turkey! Yeah, well, the guy is cool and all, but he's kind of made me second-think all this eating turkey on Thanksgiving stuff. Celebrating Thanksgiving around him, devouring what could have once been one of his best mates in elementary school, is kind of awkward. Worse still, Thomas has started this kind of rebellion against eating turkeys on Thanksgiving. He gets these signs and marches through the houses shouting stuff like; "We celebrate Thanksgiving too! But turkeys should not be the main course for you!" (I've noticed that he's pretty bad coming up with stuff that rhymes.)
A piece of trivia: Did you know that Benjamin Franklin wanted to make our national bird the Turkey? Happy Thanksgiving, Folks!
