Dog of the week is a new addition to get your dog in the spotlight. Each week a new dog will be selected from the active member list to be the next dog for that week. Please don't ask for your dog to be dog of the week, we already have a list of dogs lined up to be picked.This is chosen randomly, not by favorites or popular vote. Everyone's dog will be featured at some point if you are an active member.
If your dog has been selected, then you will receive a PM knowing what to do.You will be notified on Saturday, have all day Saturday and Sunday to either accept or decline your dog being dog of the week. A new dog is added on Monday.

Background Info: After my cat died, I was in a deppresion box. Then, my mom got me a dog! Driving 2 hours to a small town with a dog breeding station in it, I looked at the dogs. There were black ones, brown ones, gray ones, but I saw this little girl with her brown eyes. She squiggled over to me, and I fell in love. My little Abby has been there for me ever since.

Dislikes: Water, other dogs, cats, being pointed at.
Background Info: We went to the shelter on Christmas Eve and went into the kennels. We looked at all the dogs, but Murphy just looked at us with sorrowful eyes that said "take me with you". He was easily picked out of the rest, plus he was a small dog like mom wanted. We got him home and for a day we all were throwing out names until we decide on Murphy.
Other: Murphy is the best dog in the world, I'd do anything for him!

Other: Mudge is a tan color with a white chest and white toes like a Boxer. He loves to catch waterspiders and swim in the crick. My sis found him along the road when she was coming home one day near our house. We went to neighbors and asked if he was there's. No one claimed him and now we do. When he was still a little pup, he got Parvoe, a disease dogs get and they loose their appetites. Our vet said 75% dogs survive with parvoe and 25% die. He said Mudge didn't look like he was going to make it, but miraculously he did!! I write stories about him, not published lol bur just for fun.

Special Tricks: Sit, Down, Crawl, Repent, Stay, Come Here (not many, i've only had her for 3 weeks). Club Nickname: Jaspyr Other: Jaspyr is 7 months old. Her mother was a sick stray and was found and turned into a shelter. She was all ready pregnant. 5 days after giving birth Jaspyr's mother died. Jaspyr was raised by humans along with her two brothers. She was in the shelter for 7 months until my family adopted her at a Super Adoption event May 1st. Now she is super lovable, energetic, and loads of fun! She's very smart and is willing to learn lots of tricks. She is my alarm clock in the morning, always licking my face at 7 AM and cuddling with me until I go to sleep! Every day she gets to run with my mom but I always take her for a walk in the evening. Plott Hounds are extremely rare breeds of dogs that are recognized by the rare breed association. They are so rare petfinder does not have them on their breed directory! I don't have a good picture of her to share yet (on a different computer) but here is one of her asleep on my bed! And 2 pictures the shelter provided for us! (yes, she lost weight. it's because she's part greyhound so she's going to be very lean).
