Any Trekkie-haters, we are not having this discussion. I like Star Wars and Star Trek, and no one can talk me out of it. (If I'm overreacting, it's because my one of my friends is a confirmed Trekkie, and does not understand Star Wars. I know someone else who's vice versa. It can make life difficult for me)
Here's a random we took of a shirt sold in Disney:

We feel so sorry for him, because he's just trying to get the "Disney experience" with his little Mickey Eskimo pie, Mickey ears, etc. And then he can't go on the rides! (well, I suppose he could go on the Winnie-the-Pooh ride...)

He was based on Einstein. Ever noticed the flyaway white hair?
I only like him in books and the original trilogy. In the prequel movies, he's too harsh. (but I loved him in Revenge of the Sith by Mathew Stover. Actually, I adored that book! Amazing characters!)

There are many like you. It's not really necessary, and I really didn't like the whole Yuzhan Vong war thing, but I think it adds some depth to the SW universe.
It makes my dad complain that my brother and I know everything about every little extra on the screen, though.
