My son has been begging me to purchase some e-store clothing for him. I told him that he has to earn his own money and then when he can pay me for them, I will make the purchase. But I am afraid of getting him into the habit of thinking that I can whip out my bank card to buy virtual items any time he sees something he likes with the promise to pay me back later.
I would love to see Ganz offer an e-store gift card that my kids could buy at the store with their own hard earned cash and then use them to purchase the e-store items on their own.
I do this with my younger son for his Club Penguin account - he has to earn enough money to buy a one-month membership card that he can buy at WalMart, and he is so proud to pay for it and be able to enter the code to renew his membership each month all by himself!
It would also be nice to be able to put the gift cards inside their Birthday cards or give them as rewards for good report cards at school or just that extra something to give them on other special occasions!
I had thought about purchasing the points at the e-store and printing out a certificate when I need a gift, but the minimum is too high when they just want to buy an outfit for 5000 points or I just want to give them a small $5 reward for something special. I would love to see gift cards in increments of $5!
And as Arte's fan pointed out, this would appeal to people without credit cards or PayPal who would love to have a chance to buy e-store items!
