Default Webkinz retired Month

Ganz should have a month where there are no new releases and they return all the retired webkinz for just one month (no seasonals though) i do think its dumb retiring webkinz, because what if you wanted it real bad, and you had to wait a month to get it, and it retired by then!? Anyway I really do think they should bring them all back for a month or at least put them on sale in the e-store =]

This might be very difficult. To distribute a product like Webkinz is a major undertaking. Ganz has to work with retailers who order through salespeople. Orders are made for product, product is shipped, shelved, and available for sale. There is not much publicity surrounding Webkinz--there is enormous cost to that. Ganz depends a lot I think on the individual retailers promoting their product. These retailers are very important to Ganz. I think that is why they have tread so lightly with estore sales. They are expanding it, but very slowly. Only one virtual pet so far for the US and Canadian markets.

There are also the customers to consider. Just as you are disappointed at not being readily able to adopt a retiree, you also have to realize that many existing customers will be most upset if the pet they acquired at great expense after retired now becomes available again. Mess with your market too much and you may erode your customer base and your business goes down.

All of the webkinz have their own unique qualities and appeal. Some of the ones I adopted as they were retired or about to retire which I didn't think I'd like much I have found very appealing. And I was able to acquire a complete set of retirees--they are out there if you have the resources. So anyone who is desperate for any given pet can find it--it's just a case of can you afford it. You might want to think about all the great pets you CAN acquire, not lament too long or distress yourself too much about the ones you don't think you can afford to acquire because they are retired and rare.

Knowing how manufacturing, marketing, and distributing work, I don't think your idea is very feasible to implement.

All that said, I keep seeing pets retired a month or too ago in my local stores, and some of them even on a sales table! So don't give up hope!

I think that is a great idea! There s one problem though- lots of people enjoy collecting rare and retired webkinz. Personally, I really want the cheeky dog, but my parents don't like webkinz so I really haven't got a chance! However the more newly retired webkinz can sometimes be found in shops. I got the samoyed at the beginning of summer, which was very exciting. Once, on ebay, I found a cheeky cat for 76 dollars. That may sound expensive, but ll of the others were closer to 400! So you never know what you will find. I think that for a week or so, every year, they should put a rare or retired pet in the estore for about 15 dollars.

that is a good idea, but if they brought back the cheeky dog well chaos would ensue and, well, I did find a store online that sold all Webkinz, but I forgot where it was

Smile Re: Webkinz retired Month

Last summer, when I first got Webkinz, I thought the same thing. But, then I realized that it just wouldn't work. Ganz retires Webkinz just to sell them faster. It makes the people buy the product more. It would bring their buisness down, just like katrinasmom said.

Also, the price of the rarer, more scarce Webkinz would drop down overnight. That would make people on e-bay with the sought-out Webkinz pretty angry.

So, it's a total no-go and even if you send it to Ganz, they won't ever consider doing that.

I'm truly sorry if I sound a little harsh. It's only true, though.
