So today I was thinking as I was taking a long walk to a boat, how I was wishing that I could be playing Webkinz. But then I thought, no, I'm getting exercise. But I wished I could be getting payed for doing things off of the computer.
So here's where I got the idea that Ganz could make a pedometer. You would buy it, and after your daily 2,000 (I think that's how many you're supposed to get.) steps, you would get 1 KC every 5 steps.
Of course, I'm sure someone would figure out how to shake it to make the numbers go, but they could figure out a way to make it only steps.
Every night, you would plug it into your computer and it would upload straight to Webkinz. Then you could redeem your KC!
Do you like this idea? Would YOU get the Webkinz pedometer?
It is a great idea, and it'd probably encourage kids to be more active, BUT they can easily cheat by just shaking it.
At my school, there's been a Weight Loss program going around for a couple years between all the teachers. One day at gym class, we noticed a teacher who kept tapping his leg. We finally asked him why, and he said he does it to make his pedometer count more steps.
So yeah, a kid could easily do that and just cheat to get stuff from it.
So it's a great plan, but I don't think it'd work.
