I personnally think it could be a great thing even for the younger kids. I had a savings account when I was five (granted there was like $6 in it but I still had one) and that is one year younger than the designed age for webkinz. Ganz could make a whole new area, maybe under the shopping or fun and games section of the things to do menu, or they could, like montanarose9 said, make piggy banks interactive.
Either way little kids could probably do it and if not by themselves, with help from a older sibling or parent. Saving is a great lesson to have because it often leads to investing, for example I am a teenager and already investing in mutual funds.
But on the other hand what if webkinz had a glitch, like the one where you would get logged out or sent to the magical forest, and lost all your money. That could be a problem too. A great big, huge, gigantic problem!!!!

I like your idea VERY much! This can be a nice option for some people. My son loves going to W-shop and curio shop and spend his money, even if it is not something he likes. He just loves to shop. And when he sees something he really likes like new themed items and limited seasonal items he usually does not have enough money. And he gets really frustrated. I really would like him to learn the importance of saving money. Pretty soon he will be dealing with real money and this would be a great practice for him.

WI had a interview with the webkinz creative director last year and he said Ganz would be making a bank soon!

Totally! I've actually been thinking of this idea too. Great minds think alike, isn't that what philosophers or something always said?

I see what your saying, but there's Jr. coming out for the younger kids.

Interset would be good too. Just imagine if all the kids on webkinz started to learn about saving at a young age (say 6 or 7) how much less debt there would be in this country! And all the kids getting motiveted now and not when ther 15 and want a car next year. That could do amazing things and there are tons of kids on webkinz

I think that if mybe we wrote in and asked Ganz to make a webkinz bank they might sonce in the interview they said they would maybe we could suggest the interactive piggy bank thing.
