I think the reason Ganz probably doesn't do this is because it could easily be gamed by less than honest people. But the person who is left should get something ... I think it is a tricky thing to work out. The risky thing about the tournament arena is that unless you have a friend you regularly play a game with, the game server matches you up with whatever random person also wants to play the same game at the same time. It would be nice to know some stats about that person -- how many games have they won/lost/quit? I wouldn't even bother getting into a game with somebody who quits half the time, but I have no way of knowing.

I think that if a person leaves the game, even if they time out, that the other person should get the full prize money.
I do definitely think there are people who quit games when they are losing, or have lost (Can't count the # of times I've played the trading card challenge, won, and then the opponent quits just at the right moment so I don't get the 30 kc bonus). But people also get booted by Ganz's flaky servers, or have to leave for other reasons. Sadly there is no really great way to give a heads up when this is the case.
