I agree as well, they should stop making so many new webkinz and not retire new ones, it's just plain mean to get kids (and adults) hopes up about a new webkinz then retire it before anyone has a chance to find/buy it. I do see the point about the economy being bad, and let's face it, webkinz are a luxury.

I don't know if you have noticed this, but portion sizes and extras at restaurants have decreased and even net weight of common grocery items have decreased. It's just a sign of the economic times that we are living in. It'll probably get worse for awhile and then it'll get better again.
No wonder they retired the snakes so fast!:snake:

GANZ is trying to make more money. If they retire a super-new webkinz, lots of people will rush to the stores to get the last ones of that kind. If they retire older ones, people wouldn't rush to stores because they most likely already have it. THEY ARE TRYING TO MAKE MORE MONEY! They AREN'T trying to make more space!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

With four of us in my family collecting webkinz it is really hard to keep up with all the retirements! I can only afford to get one or two of each for my family. The people that are profiting the most are those that sell on the secondary market. When some people come across a retired pet they will buy them out and then resell them at a profit.

I think they should retire the POTM after it is POTM. That way the stores will stock up on that pet and there should be plenty for those who want it. It would be a way of saying goodbye to an old friend and wouldn't come as much of a surprise.

That is good idea buffy0214, btw Ganz did that with the POTM Elephant, they retired it pretty much after it was POTM.

I hope it'll get better soon! My mom says that with the cost of oil they're decreasing EVERYTHING! If you look carefully, you can see that things like dishwashing detergent have decreased in size, but the "strength has been doubled!".
