I know it's hard to accept the fact that they are retiring a lot of the new animals, but many of the newer animals are more elaborate and more expensive to make. They probably started production long before the economy took such a downturn. I don't know if you have noticed this, but portion sizes and extras at restaurants have decreased and even net weight of common grocery items have decreased. It's just a sign of the economic times that we are living in. It'll probably get worse for awhile and then it'll get better again.
I have to agree with you a72b75c77, that it is true that it will probably get worse and our economy will be going down the toilet. I know how all of you feel about these very quick retirements. Ganz SHOULD be retiring Webkinz like the Chihuahua, Pig, Cow, Lion, Hippo, and other older Webkinz.
