I'll second this opinion: Club Penguin is way inferior to Webkinz in terms of content. There is no equal to Webkinz World in today's market of online kiddie worlds. Getting an actual plush is a great bonus, too - my daughter doesn't mind an occasional arcade, wheel prize or a rare hunt but spends about as much time making stories with her plushies as online. A number of new additions, like Polarberry Jam and especially Jumbleberry Fields were a great success that proves WW's significant potential.
Unfortunately, the quality moves downhill lately. Again and again, Ganz proves incapable of preventing or solving even the most trivial issues. Things like missing floors and walls graphics or the notorious "already did this activity" message are clearly a sign of sloppy, "hands down" approach rather than an unforeseen technical complication - and nothing puts kids (and their parents!) off like a visible lack of care.
Another gaping problem is that the game commercializes rapidly, losing its appeal for budget minded families. Fourty figurines for the full unlock of Wonders? Thirty bucks for a small plush toy? Seven bucks for a pretty array of pixels? Thanks, but no, thanks! Many parents I know that were very enthusiastic about WW are now wary of the peer pressure to buy "new stuff" and steer their kids away from playing.
Bottomline: Ganz hit a gold mine with Webkinz but is now approaching a dead end. Whether they'll break through or fade out remains to be seen.
Well, Webkinz is meant to be a vritual pet game. Club penguin makes you a penguin, ie, a social game.
The people who like club penguin after webkinz world, are most likely bored with it.
On overhualing, it's nice to say "Oh, yeah, and Ganz should spend millions on new servers, new everything and make it perfect." This is just not going to happen. It costs money (lots), and why fix what isn't broken?
No offense to anyone...but...you do know that club penguin you need a membership just to but things and decorate your house? Also, technically the store decids the prices not ganz... also ganz does not have all the money in the world, they cant just take it down for a week fix everything, add lots more stuff, give gooies to everyone, check to make sureeverything is perfect and make the perfect site...i say there is no such thing as perfection and what you are asking for is just that. Sometimes people just get bored of things, their friends think it is uncool or they just have real lives and do not even use the computer much at all. Always get the facts to back you up before something big happens to change everything for the bad or good.
