Maybe they couldn't do it for the whole yard because of programming issues. But....

What about sand "blankets/rugs/squares" you could buy so you could do as little or as much of your yard as you wanted to do. Sort of like the stone path squares. You can still put items on it but it is much more versatile and you could remove it if you wanted unlike flooring which couldn't be removed. They could either take up one square or four squares which I think would be ideal and cost a few hundred bucks each.

What about that idea?

I have also thought about that idea... and suggested it in the past. It is one that I would love.

I have seen Ganz adopt many ideas that have been suggested on WI. Some (like asian furniture and Christmas furniture made it to the W Shop. A depressing number of items people have suggested have shown up in the eStore though: examples of these include rideable pirate ships, swings, and the birds nest bed.

It is my supreme hope that when Ganz adopts this idea (and I think that they should) that it becomes either a W-shop idea or an extra feature as part of the buy a room option. Anyone with determination can earn kinzcash. This is something that should be available to everyone, not just those with eStore points.

Mind you, I am not anti-eStore. I just think that the eStore should be reserved for superfancy stuff rather than for basic needs. I consider the ability to install sand or snow in your yard a basic need. I'll take it as flooring or rug/tiles or as a setting option that you can select and change on your yard. I just know that I and many others want this available to EVERYONE.

Sadly Hmm,
I don't know if Ganz is very motivated to do a snow yard, becuase they make so much money off of everyone selling/trading their winter stuff each spring, and buying more the next season. It might lower the demand for seasonal/holiday stuff (except in the minds of die-hard collectors). Just a thought. But I, also, would love to keep a winter yard, holiday room, etc., set up and not have to 'start over' or move everything around every season. I hate to admit this on WI, but I actually do have a life OUTSIDE of WW.... Don't tell anyone I admitted that!.. and I only have limited time on WW - and I have to save some for WI, of course...
So I'll take the cue from the last post & let Ganz know my thoughts today/tomorrow.

Hope you get your snow yard by Christmas!!!
