I can understand to some degree, you wanting the Third Party Ads to stop. Especially when they do what the Justin Biener ads did to the Canadian Member's sites about a week ago.
I am a noise liker. I like to hear Tabby, I like to hear Ms. Cowoline and I really like to hear Arte
I mean it would be nice if we had a Fast Forward Button for Pollie Jean, but ya take the bad with the good
However, when it stops you from hearing what you enjoy hearing, then it becomes a nuisance.
Third Party Ads may be necessary at this point for Ganz because of the economy. Like They need the additional support to keep the Website running. The plush alone aren't going to pay for the Techs, creative team, etc... If we find ads that ARE questionable, we just contact them and they do the best they can to keep them from filtering in.
We complained about the Bieber ad and it was gone the next day. They ARE efficient and mindful of their users
BARRING That, there is the Third Party Ad Block option. You can ALWAYS click that and it won't show the ads. Unfortunately, then you can't play the Promo Games because the ads won't be there (Like the Chipmunk costumes, Snow White ads)
Pretty well everything else that IS Webkinz is still accessible.
I wish they didn't do third party ads either. If the extra money they get from them hires people to fix the glitches in WW, then I'd be more tolerant, but I feel it is to fund their other worlds. Ganz has been running so many ads for their own stuff that I tune them all out.
Here's one suggestion that many may like. If you are, like me, using Firefox for Webkinz, you can always cut the ads off by mouse-dragging the right edge of the window. It will not, unfortunately, eliminate the delays and the freezes associated with the ads, but at least the visual nuisance will be gone. Out o'sight, out o'mind, you know...
