Hachiko was an Akita dog who was 18 months old when his owner died. He had gone to the train station every day with his owner, in the morning, and would meet him back at the station every night to walk home with him. So when his owner died at work the dog waited for his owner to return every night for the next 10 years, till Hachiko died. He was in news papers several times in Japan, called the most loyal dog as he reminded the Japanese people of family vlaues and loyalty among other things.
Hachiko lived on the streets after his owner died, so he could get to the station every day, he broke out of a home he'd been sent to several times till they gave up on keeping him.
Their is a statue of him at Shinbuya station in Tokyo, where he would meet his owner every day. They renamed the station's exit Hachiko exit also in honor of the dog and every year in April their are offerings made to Hachiko of food and such in the hopes that they'll experience the same loyalty for the following year that Hachiko displayed to his owner.
Their was a movie done in Japan like 20 years ago about Hachiko but now Richard Gear is staring in a new movie placed in the U.S about the dog's story.
I just think doing a webkinz of an Akita would be a fitting thing and be really special.
