I love all of the items in the eStore, but I agree that they are overpriced. They shouldn't have an eStore at all, and they should sell the items in the curio shop as exclusive items. One of the items would be sold for an hour everyday. That would give people the chance to buy the items that they want for Kinzcash instead of regular money.
I can see where you are coming from as far as some of the pricing is concerned but the fact remains...if people pay it why would they change it?
A "few" years ago when we were in school we studied the price fluctuation of produce. When things are out of season the price goes up, being a mom, I am very frugal about such things, there is NO way I will ever pay $7.99 for a watermellon, I don't care how much the kids love them that is insane. However, if every person agreed with me, and nobody purchased things at that price, there would be a loss of profit for the store, the supplier, the grower, so they would have to do one of two things not up the price, or just not carry the item.
My thoughts are this : As long as somebody is paying the price it will not go down. And if you look around WI there is lots of people that pay the price so why would a company lower the price? Besides, when things are priced higher it is out of reach for some people which makes the demand higher, that my friends is buisness, right or wrong, it's business.
My personal opinion is I would love to see the prices lower but...the items are selling at the listed price so...
That's how I feel. lol It is a little rediculous, the prices, but the plush just end up being chewed by my dog anyways because most of them aren't very soft so I just leave them sitting around, lol so I kinda like the online pets, but like the monster would be so cute in plush, but yet here I am begging my dad, practically taking the credit card out of his pocket! xD
I can completely see rejewel's point. Obviously if they were not selling, they would drop the price. I still feel they are overpriced though. I haven't paid 12.50 for any of my plush pets and recently in my area prices are dropping even lower on those. The charms are priced right and that's all I've bought from the estore and until things come down in price, that's all I plan on buying.
As a mom, I like the idea of buying virtual pets because then I don't have the plushies, which I don't need. However, I think they should be sold at a reduced rate because there is no plushie to go with it. You are getting everything else though - PSI, KinzCash, etc.
I like the idea of the furniture items going in the Curio shop. It would equal the playing field. Since everyone in my family has an account I would have to buy 4 of everything for all of us to have one. That gets really pricey! I would have loved the hot tub last week and the piano this week, but I had to come to my senses about how much it would cost. Too much, when I'm trying to save for Christmas.
