I think they should have retired games, exclusives, and webkinz for a week or month or something, that would be sweet.
It would be very nice, generous beyond belief even.
The reason for retiring items is to create scarcety and demand. It also frees up factories to make new webkinz. These two factors together create a rotating stock and make the value of older retired webkinz worth more. It is kind of a way to reward the faithful that have been there from the onset. Retiring creates want want increases obsession. Obsession keeps you in the game.
Also since people tend to get bored of the same thing all the time, Ganz/Webkinz changes out the older items for new items, Webbiez, Games, and they even introduce new items such as the cards, clothing and makeup lines. With everything available there are more and more options for us to enjoy at different prices levels so the likelyhood of our getting more increases.
I don't think they should have a retired day other than to bring back retired games and clothing. And if theyn do that, I think that should be a celebratory week not just one day...
