Wow! These are all good ideas. I've been hoping for this option for quite a while now. I wonder if Ganz will consider it...

I would even pay to get rid of a room! There could be a button at the top of the map that reads demolition, you click it, pay 50 KC and pick which room you want to delete. They could even have elephants in hardhats driving little bulldozers across the map.

Ooh, that could be horrendous programming, to delete doors on the attached rooms...Ganz can do it though, I believe in them!

SOO true! But it could only be outer rooms. I could delete a room that connected another part of my house. I couldn't have like 5 floating rooms.

Because the thing is, I'd love to have mostly large rooms, but when I started, I couldn't afford large rooms and settled on mediums rooms. Most of my ideas would look better in large rooms, so i have like 5 - 7 meduim rooms I don't need/use. Yes, I could add a bathroom here or a small kitchen there, but if i could change it into a different size room or delete it, it would be much easier and i wouldn't have to spend KinzCash just to fill empty rooms I don't want.

It would be nice if the first pets got their rooms as a bonus so we could build our house with our own layout. Of course you would still have to have a room to attach them to -- and I would like to be able to skip a square so it would be open with rooms all around it -- like a court yard, but nothing there so there would be no door on the outside wall. And if they would only let us name our theme rooms! And give us an idea why we can't use words to name our pets. I give mine last names, but wasn't allowed to use the word "Duck". It's a fun website and much like the real world, we can't always do what we want. Happy decorating...

suzyqlake is an unknown quantity at this point

Default Re: Getting rid of rooms we do not want

That would be GREAT or even be able to name it "empty", like we were able to do before.

I wish we could go back to the old room naming system too. Ganz just hasn't taken into account the vast number of different decorating ideas their customers have created. PLUS, many many pets share rooms and under this system only one of them gets their name on the room.

It can be real fun in real life, I recommend trying it. Making a pretty pretty hallway with the proper color scheme and two or three small and tall items can make a nice statement. The medium hallways are perfect to convert into bathrooms. And aren't the individual spa rooms small and relaxing in real life.

It's all up to you on how happy you want to be with your webkinz house, for a webkinz's home is his castle

LOL, good grief. While your point is well taken, its not quite the same as real life. The last time I gave birth I didn't come home to find another room arbitrarily tacked onto my kitchen either!
The medium rooms do make nice bathroom suites.

I think we should all start asking Ganz for new options when we talk to them, because I am sure a lot of you did the same thing when you first started... no KC so buy small room to make all of the rooms that a house has, then you find out there is a more larger room that you can do so much more and it just snowballs from there. I would be happy if I could just upgrade the size of the room by paying the difference in cost, and to be honest I could even live with the small rooms if I could move the doors. But the main problem that I have now with my big house and the naming system is that I cannot remember where the new pets go.... only one name to a room. Yes it does bring back fond memories of when we could name our own rooms even though I complained about the restrictions, just goes to show be careful what you wish for.

I wish they would go back to the old way. Now you can't put the name of new theme rooms like before. I'm tier of seeing # for rooms that are new rooms.
