I can't fault them for trying new profits. The shelf life of products like this is notoriously finicky so they are striking "while the iron is hot" so to speak.
I do think that they should be more proactive in glitch testing before new products are debuted though.

Same here, not to be a suckup but if they slow down, they u will complain about getting bored. Money isnt everything, notice, all of these new things benefit a good cause!!! I hate these threads, no ofense but cut them a break!

To make money may be any and all companies' goal{s}, however if they do that in the wrong way {by not keeping their customers at least reasonably satisfied} then they go belly up {and more so in an economy such as we have at present}. The 'probably' trying to fix 'glitches' does not 'cut it' for several reasons. The main reason is that a "glitch", according to the site/company themself, is defined as something that is "rare" and "rarely/hardly ever happens". The site rarely has glitches; they, however, constantly have problems. It is great that you have only had one problem and that they actually fixed it. The issues with that issue is that you should know that you are one of the very few 'lucky' ones in regards to using that site. There are hundreds and thousands of other members who have had multiple problems and for long periods of time. I, for one, have had nothing but problems of different sorts from day one of opening up my American account -- with problems ranging from not even being able to log on at all {for hours, days and even weeks} to repeatedly getting knocked off that account {and it is NOT any of the 6 computers I use nor any of the 13 browsers, flash or other accessories, amount of items in my dock of which I have maybe up to 50 of things like floors/walls that can't be put anywhere else, or the time I log in because that changes even to midnight to 3 am to 7 am to 9 pm or anything else except one thing -- that account is on their #1 bad server}.

I have written them at least 3 dozen times about major issues/problems which does not count the 'little' things like items constantly getting 'stuck' but does count things like not being able to log on, logging on only to get please wait until it demands I log off, storage dock 'loop' until I am forced to log off, trading for things or getting those in add pet gifts only to get blank {as in zilch, nothing, nada, tough luck} for 'prize' in that and in Cares plus items then coming up 'missing' even though only I and the site know my password/have access to that account. Then there is the thousands of kc and coupons and items I am out because I would buy something and it would take the kc and the coupon but charge me full kc and still not even give me the item{s}. By the way, the have sent me responses, a total of maybe three {not dozen just three}; their form letter that basically says I'm lying, someone must have access to my account, check my password, check to see if my rooms are over full or my dock {which has nothing to do with anything anyway}. I doubt you'd feel the same if you were having the problems the rest of us are having -- like having 2 of 4 lavas, a tubbies bear {year 1 holiday}, 1/2/3 year trophies, blue dragster, various trophies and other items 'disappear' from your account.

I have been a computer tech; I also have an accounting degree {made straight 100+ in taxes, cost accounting, and economics by the way}. I ran a million dollar company as an Operations Manager. I know what it takes to do the technical side and I know what it takes to do the economics side. The company is greedy. They have their products made overseas, for pennies on the dollar for work and materials then they also get out of paying other normal company expenses such as those required in North America for things such as workers compensation and unemployment fees and such {that companies pay that also affect employee pay in a lot of ways}. They supposedly give 'upgrades' to a site that is rapidly crumbling due to bad programming, cramming things not properly tested on to alread overloaded, bad servers, and top that off with an attitude that says they don't care because they already have that money for that account {so are busy trying to get even more money}. Then they can't even make a plush that isn't falling apart when it's brand new. That's not 'bashing' nor 'complaining' -- it's stating facts. The fact there is that they have done nothing to fix the problems they themself created. The company is not the virtual plush you named and care something for -- the company is what is letting the problems start and continue while all they continue to do is to ignore those mounting {and continuing} problems while trying to come up with even more ways to 'milk' the webkinz 'cash cow'.

boredom is a state of mind {mind over matter -- if you don't mind it don't matter}

All these new things benefit a good cause? What? Ganz' pocketbook{s} don't count. If you mean their charity or whatever, that is $1 only and that is only from Cares {and coming up in April when Cares probably retired the tagged Caring Valley line}. By the way all contributions like that are fully tax deductible for them.

As a bit of an aside I must admit I am usually actually amused by these threads -- from the blantant disregard of any/all facts about everything all the way to the fact that some keep chanting they're a company and all companies are like that {no, they're not all like that} while in the same or next breath {sentence whatever} saying we should cut them slack or give them a break because they're only human and all that. It can't work both ways -- their employees are human {and under-informed and all that, by the company} but the company is an entity {The Company/Ganz} and therefore is supposed to be working up to certain standards. They are failing, miserably, at attaining any standard/level of usability to that site. The main reason people buy the plushes and the assorted extra associated merchandise is to access and actually be able to use the site. The users, the ones spending out all this money that is making the company all that money are not getting what they paid for. It's that simple.

I do not want to go against Ganz, but I agree completely! I think they have enough webkinz to the point where they do not have to make another 4 every month! I cant catch up with buying them!..not that i was gonna buy them all.. Any I dont think they should do signature pets because they already Have WEBKINZ PETS! It would not be webkinz any more There are a lot of glitches too, but some of them ae funny but can get annoying. Ok, and webkinz pets cost (i think) too much money. and, Estore!! The estore pets cost waayyy too much money i think beacuse you do not even get the plush version! Here where i live, at this store (not estore-a real store) they have webkinz for the same price as the ones online- I buy them there-smart I still think Ganz is great but please slow down a little!

you nailed it

ganz will always want to make money..and that is why they come out with all this stuff. true, there will always be glitches, but ganzs primary goal is to get our $$$, and that is how it will always be.

I do enjoy collecting the new Webbies and always thought any more than 3 new plush Webbies a month is excessive. This month they have 3....plus 3 seasonal. Hmmmm Still 6. I agree that Ganz has soe really great ideas and it is good to be creative and come up with new product offerings.

But I also firmly believe that too many products being offered can be very off-putting for its customers and may cause brand loyalty to switch or for those customers to lose heart and refrain from buying any more products.

I do not know about you all, but I cannot afford keeping up with all the new releases. I do not buy all the clothes/figures/charms/ornaments and other products.

So, I agree with "Slow down Ganz" but I will continue buying new Webbies but nothing else in the way of accessories.

So, that's my 2 cents.

Well, we can let them get by with Trading card series 4 can't we? They come out with one new series a year. So that is ok, now for all the other things...
