Default The Everlasting Wish: room resizing

Dear Ganz,

Many players have asked, keep asking, and will be asking in the foreseeable future for more control over house layout. I understand that deleting rooms might pose technical challenges such as to ensure room connection or sufficient space for all pets. But please, dear Ganz, why not to allow at least resizing indoor rooms or switching between outdoor and treetop?

There should be no technical problems with such an option. All room items would be moved into the dock. For indoor rooms, the wallpaper and the floor would remain or, if the developers prefer to be "evil", disappear and turn into original gray. The change would cost 1000 kc. The button calling for the resizing could be placed on the house map view, where "Jump", "Rename", and "Buy" already are.

Such a change, dear Ganz, would not just make thousands of players happier. It would also save a chunk of your disk space by eliminating the need to buy additional rooms when remodeling old ones could perfectly do. This option would be easy to debug and test because of its inherently reversible nature, since nothing gets deleted in the process.

So, dear Ganz, should I thank you in advance for adding such feature in the next update?

Yours hopefully,
Pitenana

I would love to be able to resize rooms. All those medium rooms given out with the first pets are hard to decorate being so small, and aren't too large for storing things in either. Thanks for the suggestion! Blessings

I would love to resize my rooms, especially all of the medium rooms from the start. They maybe good for a bed and a dresser, but not much else.

I have been pleading for this for a LONG time! Every time I suggested it, people kept telling me it couldn't be done. (I'm not technical, so I can't quote you the reasons I was given - it was all "over my head".)

Thank you, Pitenana, for saying it's something feasible. It gives me hope that it can be implemented in the (hopefully NEAR-)future.
