Default Re: Add 'wBay' Auction

I use to program process automation systems and web based transaction management systems.

The 'back end' programming would be far less complicated than the trading room for example as the 'transactions' don't need to be managed in real time.

Think of it this was... You decide to place an item up for auction - What the Kinzville Server does is create a record with five fields filling in the first three fields

Action Date
Item Tag # (the item which is put up for auction)
Item Seller (the sellers account number)
Item Buyer (the high bidders account number)
Item Bid

When you pick an item to bid on the record is locked, you then place your bid which sets the last two fields, which in turn removes the lock.

Another method would be to to handle the auction in a silent auction format - allow everyone to place 'sealed bids' then at the auction time the programming would simply look at the bids then if there are multiple bids for the same amount then randomly pick one of the high bids.

I do love this idea. It would take Ganz awhile to program everything, but I think it can be done. Rep for you.
