Babar is probably pretty common, but if you want something a little more unusual, perhaps one of the other characters from the Babar stories? You could choose from (Queen) Celeste (I used that name for my Lil' Unicorn), children Pom, Flora, Alexander and Isabelle (the last one a recent addition not in the original books), cousin Arthur, or consellors Cornelius and Pompadour. The original books were written by Jean de Brunhoff, based on stories his wife, Cecile, had invented for their children, and later books were added by their son Laurent. So, Jean, Cecile or Laurent would be logical choices as well.

Other pop culture names would include Horton (Hears a Who), Oliphaunt (an elephant-like creature in "The Lord of the Rings" books, and of course there is Lumpy from"Pooh's Heffalump Movie:" Lumpy is his nickname and his formal name is Heffridge Trumpler Brompet Heffalump IV, so any of those names could be chosen as well.
