I wouldn't call the number. I know that sounds really bad, but I'm just being honest.
What Would You Do In This Situation-honest answers please!
This story is made up off the top of my head, by the way.
You're on your way to buy that one thing you've really been saving for [you know, that thing you've been saving up for for 5 years!] You have enough money! You're ecstatic! Arriving at the checkout, you reach into your wallet and find that you are short of a 100 dollar bill. WHAT?! You storm out of the store, running as fast as you can, you don't want anyone to steal the money you lost! It's hopeless. You can't find it anywhere. On the way, however, you find a black leather wallet. No ID, no contact information, just 200$. You pocket it after thinking for a bit, heading home. You show it to your parents and they do the whole 'you shouldn't have taken it' thing. Then, your mom is reading the newspaper. There's an ad: LOST BLACK LEATHER WALLET. 200 DOLLARS INSIDE. It provides a number to call. What do you do?
Do you pocket it or call the number?
Be HONEST. I do KNOW that the right thing to do is to call the number, and I KNOW you guys know that, too. I know you know what you should do, but what would you do if this really happened?

Call the owner. Its not my wallet, I'm not going to keep it.
A kinda similar situation happened a couple years ago. My dad and I found a wallet in the street one time. We picked it up and looked to see whose ID was in it. We waited around for a little bit, and we saw a guy on a bike riding around, like he was looking for something. We asked if he lost something and he said he lost his wallet. We asked him what his name was, it matched the ID and we gave it back to him.
Back in the fall, my old neighbor lady found a wallet when she was on a walk. We looked through the wallet and found the guys credit card. We called the bank, told them we found this guys card, gave them the number, and they said they would look up his phone number and let him know how card had been found.

I'd call the number. I really do believe that we are being watched by God, and things like that I feel are important tests of character. I'd be really tempted to keep it though.

Thanks guys
It's awesome to see that there still are people that would give the wallet back, a lot of people wouldn't these days.
Re: What Would You Do In This Situation-honest answers please!
I'm stuck between both options.
On one hand, I'd feel sort of guilty, so I'd call them.
But on the other, I'd fear if either:
1. Get there. they do something to me.
2. This isn't the right person. someone just scored two hundred bucks.
Re: What Would You Do In This Situation-honest answers please!
I would want to keep it, I really would, but my parents would make me call, and of course, if someone else had taken that money from me, I'd be really mad if nobody returned it..

Re: What Would You Do In This Situation-honest answers please!
I would definitely call the owner. Because if I didn't than that would be a)selfish b)dishonest and c) because my parents would know that I found the wallet, and that I would be trying to return it, so if I didn't call then they would ask me later if they found the owner and I would have to lie again and say yes
Re: What Would You Do In This Situation-honest answers please!
I would call the number and hope their was a reward. Seriously I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I didn't. I'd also ask my parents for the hundred I lost.
