Ask yourself this question: Do I need a cell phone? I still don't have one because I don't need one. Besides you can pet guinee pigs. It dosn't work so well with cell phones.

You get the Guinea pig.. Find someone else who has a guinea pig...Then... HAVE Babie Gunieas. Sell them. Make a profit. Buy a phone.. TADA!! xD

If you are truly ready for a pet, then the guinea pig. Rodents only smell if you do not clean their cage. Pets are great because you have a friend at home, but it takes work. When I had a hamster, I had to clean out the cage every week. Since most schools don't allow cell phones, you honestly need to look at if you would really use it. Weigh out the pros and cons, and decide which one you would enjoy more.

I'd get the Guinea pig. If you feel ready for the responsibility, it would be a great time to get one. After all, cell phones are not as cool as they're made out to be. I mean really, you could always just call someone on your home-phone or go to their house to speak to them.

Guinea Pig - they are smart and they don't smell if YOU keep their cage clean. They are very entertainiing, but remember they are nocturnal - up at night and sleeps during the day!
