DO YOU THINK THIS IS RIDICULOUS? ~What My Daddy Said About Getting a Cell Phone~
Okay, so my Daddy promised I could get a cell phone if I got straight A's on my report card. I know that I'm getting A's in most of my classes and have no doubt that I can bring up everything if I try. :] But, Daddy said I might not be allowed because he saw on the news that people who talk on cell phone has an 18% higher risk of getting Brain Cancer. He hasn't decided-he said he has to "research" it more. I'm not saying that's wrong, and I'm not saying a phone is more important that one's health, but, I'm kinda just saying, "OF CORSE! As soon as I'm allowed to get one, they cause cancer!"
So, I ask, do you think I should forget the phone because of a health issue? Or do you think that it would be ridiculously unfair for my dad to take something away from me that I have wanted for 2 years, got my hopes up for, worked like crazy top get good grades and just have it taken away?
P.S. You guys have been saying "Just don't use it too much.". I won't! I'm a teen girl and, what do we do? WE TEXTTEXTTEXT!! My DAD, however, has his BlackBerry pressed to his ear 24/7. It kinda bothers me that he said this but even admitted that "If there's anyone at high risk in this house, it's me." So....I'm just saying....

I think it's a little unfair that he broke his promise, but it's good that he wants to prevent you from getting brain cancer. Plus, I think that 18% thing is exaggerated a little. And think of the millions of people that use cell phones on a daily basis. I don't think that thing on the news was a big deal.

Really? Brain cancer? THat IS crazy. But your dad is trying to protect you because he loves you. I had a cell last year, but then my sister took it, and left it in her pocket when my Mom did the wash, and it was adios Cell phone
